Yes, he is ultra busy. We 'll have just to be patient.
We all know the result will be worth the wait.:)

Yup, sent a PM six weeks ago about an order I wanted to place. I'm assuming he's very busy. I'm not at all in a rush, just a bit of patience is needed, I'm sure. I can't imagine how many orders are in the queue. It has to be a lot for one man (and Wifey) to handle.

Yes it is worth waiting... Thanks @Gear

I like that set...
Four Roses, Bulleit - Jim Beam, Makers, Rip van Winkle - Johnnie Walker everything...

Then I saw Jack on the T5000, and I actually winced.

Ugh, has it really been that long? Truly sorry, I will respond today.

Chris, by no means am I calling on you out publicly. That was not my intention. I chimed in to reinforce how busy you are and that it may be a while before you could get to any new projects for others that may be concerned. There's no sour grapes or hurt feelings on my end!

@Poker Zombie you would be ok most of our tourney plays with the one you like... the 5K comes at the end, just to color up some of the stacks but there are not too many at the table...;)

I’ll piggy back off this! We know you are busy Chris! Just wanted to check in and see if people had the same turn times!
No rush!

Has anyone done business with Chris lately? I haven’t heard from him in almost a month. I assume he is super busy!
I just had my order ship within the last 24 hours. Working with him was awesome, now I just need to give the rest of my chips a nice rinse down in preparation.

Anyone know what the approximate lead time is for an order right now? Trying to decide between using Gear vs Apache for custom labels but I’m in a bit of a time crunch... Assume the quality of each is fairly similar? Labels in this thread look amazing.

I cant comment on the quality of labels, as I have never used Apache for labels, only Chris from Gears. Probably did about 6 project with him over the years, and his work is amazing. Its well worth the wait!

In regards to turn times, it really just depends on his current volume. Majority of the time its about a few days for production and then around a week or so to get the labels shipped to the US, and that being on the safe side. Sometimes even faster. Just send him a PM and he will respond, and trust me. Its worth the wait!

Appreciate the reply. I’m hoping I can use Gear for the labels as everything I’ve seen in here looks awesome, just depends how backed up he is I guess. We’ll see soon.. thanks again

I was told going to gear was 100% the way to go. I know most of you will wince at a set of Claysmith chips but sadly, that's what I can afford right now. This set is mainly used for blackjack and it does the job beautifully. Amazing work and would recommend gear to anyone.

Base chips for nickel were Mayfair $100s from the OWPS offering, and the quarters were blanks ordered from Sunfly in the latest groupbuy led by @Geremie. Labels were whatever Gear sent me, and application was quick removal on the nickels and stick em all on. Easy work on the Sunfly hybrids. Just took me quite a bit because I'm lazy.

Thanks @Gear for the Great Labels. They fit perfect on the Royal Chip blanks. Artwork looks fantastic!!
I'll post my story and more Chip Pics under the Pr0n thread. You matched the background color perfect to imitate my shaped fake inlays. Love em!!! Thanks

Initially ordered enough to do 6 racks, at the last minute asked to up the quantity to 9 racks, did it with nary a blink. Top notch design and service!

Now, I need another 3-7 racks worth...!
