Had a little fun with my publishing setup over the past few weeks. Just went live on Amazon.

JJ is definitely my least fav "premium" hand, but they are easy to get away from.

I was tracking on my phone how many times I had KK and an Ace hit on the flop. No joke, it was 14 times in a row. I was too annoyed to ever do the math on the odds of 14 consecutive pocket kings having an A on the flop. Obviously I was still ahead on a bunch of those flops, but it sure was demoralizing. I felt compelled to change how I play KK, which is certainly bad strategy, but I couldn't help it until that streak finally broke...

Unfortunately, you set yourself up for the streak to last longer.

Totally understandable, of course. The game may be made up of independent events, but damned if it don't feel like they're ganging up on you sometimes.

Keep in mind, technically you should still have the best hand in 9 out of those 14 hands. Maybe less when you consider the fact more AX hands would call your post flop bets, but you can't fold KK on all AXX flops.

Its more likely an Ax would call my preflop raise and see the flop too though. That was 14 in a row where a flop came of course, if it all folded out to my raise or 3! Those didn't count in the streak.

So likely not ahead on 9, since far more likely someone calling the 3 bet has an ace than just the statistically random distribution of hands would account for. Unless I'm missing something in your point.

Sidenote, I didn't fold the KK on all Ax flops. The streak changed my preflop play more than postflop. Raise bigger pre or shove if possible to win those pots, or guarantee as much as possible to push out all A-rag, even if statistically I'd rather A-rag be calling my KK and chasing those 3 outs.

It's still a disgusting streak regardless of how it's played, or if I was ahead still or not, imo!

Give me 88 or 99 over JJ all day :)

Okay, you take 99 and I'll take JJ, and we'll play 1/2 for two hours and see how it goes.. Also feel free to take Ax instead if you prefer.
