Yes, I was looking through PCF and came across his post and was thinking, I am going to take this random person’s word on a poker chip forum and throw my mask away. But good thing another random person put a link to read. I hope no one is taking medical advice from a bunch of chip degenerates.

Anyway @TomC727 I absolutely love your table and chairs. We played last night and had an absolute blast.

I wouldn't expect anyone to take medical advice from anyone on this forum, including me. And I am not advocating for throwing your masks away. The reason behind my post was to highlight that not everything we are being bombarded with is black and white. If I wanted to get into a research paper war, I would have done so already.

Wrong, he identified himself as a person who worked in a medical field, not a random person. He did it to lend himself credence in what he was saying, which is not supported by peer reviewed scientific data.

I’m sorry you’ve self identified as a degenerate, condolences. I have a graduate education and have studied the harmful effects of disinformation. It’s real. Just this week they found a pipe bomb a third of a mile from where I live, where my girlfriend runs by everyday, because some neanderthal bought into disinformation. Incorrect, dangerous information must be ID’d and corrected.

But I didn’t ask you to take my word for it, I provided evidence, data from authoritative sources on the topic.

If you haven’t decided/researched on your own after almost a year of the pandemic, do you think someone on an anonymous forum about poker chips is going to change/make up their mind on the “science”? I don’t care if your user name is @fauci and you say you just spoke to the president of the United States, I am not taking your medical advice.

I think you should probably find another thread, or even another message board, to discuss your covid information. I will sleep better at night knowing you have a graduate education.

If I wanted to lend credence, I would have specifically said what I do in the medical field. Explaining that most of the players have been vaccinated because of being in healthcare, was the reason for stating that fact.

Most of the posters here have moved on, I recommend you do, too, or if you can't, find another place.

When I was planning my basement finish, I jumped at the chance to have nice poker tables built. I haven’t had home games since college, which was over 15 years ago. My plan hopefully is to get a regular game at least monthly when Covid dies down. For now, it’s mainly coworkers, who aren’t major players, but it will do.

Hosting a game next Saturday night. Looking like it’s going to be a 2 table tourney with around 14-16 players. I will try to get some action shots

I was playing every Thursday in Sept-Nov with the same 8-9 guys from town. 6 of us went to college together and now live 10 minutes from each other so their is a good sense of trust in that we don't want to get each other sick. We took a break from Thanksgiving til now for holidays and should start up again in a week or two. Most of us have been working from home so we've been ok. We haven't been playing with masks but are just a little more careful with the snack choices. Bagged nuts/chips instead of putting them in a bowl where people can stick their hands in and put toothpicks out for the cheese and crackers. Put sanitizer by the bar and snacks. Obviously if anyone isn't feeling well they just don't come or if they have been in close contact with someone they take 2 weeks off.
Can't wait to get back at it.

Seriously great job here but f*ck me those chairs look awesome. I've been hoping to replace my mismatched, old, little beat up office chairs for awhile now and seeing these might just be the kick in the ass needed to pull the trigger on some. Beautiful.

Dayglo Yellow or Dayglo Saturn?

Dayglo Yellow seems very light in the yellow department compared to regular yellow and Saturn.

CPC actually recommended Dayglo Yellow with regular pink, but it seemed too light with the yellow.

I’ll have to look at my samples again and make sure.

I have a regular yellow regular pink 314 and it looks great.

Gotcha, it goes great with the smaller spots just be careful with the 1/2 Pie.
If that small spot on the purple chip in your picture is now 1/2 the chip it might look too close to that base color of the last chip on the right.

I think the lighter yellow will help with that, especially now with the Dayglo yellow.

I completely forgot to get action pics but everything was fantastic last night.

Ate a boatload of tacos. 16 player tournament. My wife knocked me out , And a decent cash game was played after.

Fun was had by all, including a crazy uno game while waiting for enough cash players to get knocked out. LOL

Surprisingly, I was one of them, who got the folding chair. They aren’t too bad, Lifetime plastic chairs. Surprisingly comfortable.

Another surprise of mine, was it was my first time playing cards at the round table. The last 2 poker events, I was at the main table. Huge fan of the round.

I need to get some pics next time. Completely forgot.
