The Dugout (3 Viewers)

The hardest part, I found, was finding a pedestal that was tall enough off the ground yet not too tall to have the slots above the TV's on the wall.

I ended up picking up 2 adjustable washer/dryer platforms that are maxed out at 9.5in tall. With the shorter bar stools, they feel like handicap level (wheelchair), sort of like the short tables in casinos for handicap access.

For now, they work. If they get a ton of use, I will maybe have platforms built to be about 15" off the floor, to raise them up a little more.

New additions the the collection. And the slots are up and running. Working great.

The Dugout Tournament set gets eliminated by a landslide in the round of 16.

12 player Hold'em tournament last night was a complete success. I pulled a couple horseshoes out of my ass to grind it out to a second place finish. The food spread was great, as always.

I got to play at the round table for only the second time, and it just reinforced how much these tables are glorious.

I didn't get a chance to take a lot of pictures, but here are a couple from the night.

Again, I completely forgot to take pictures from last night.

Table saw some nice action when I hosted a NL Hold'Em and Omaha cash game (Dealer's choice). Solid turnout of 9 players. Fantastic spread. Played for about 6 hours.

Good times were had by all.

So my ugly sweater party was a huge success. I wasn’t sure if I had the players to get a cash game going, but it turned out that I got a solid 8 regulars and had a great cash game.

Again, I totally suck at remembering to get pictures.

This was after everyone went home and my basement was back to normal.

The spread was great and the adult beverages were fantastic. Good times had by all.

Hosting NL Hold'Em and Omaha cash game tonight. Super excited again. Should be a solid spread and good drinks.

I hope this time I remember to get pictures.

On another note, my hanging chip cabinet is about to get shipped from @alecnetwoodworks so a bunch of pictures will be posted once it arrives and it is hung on my wall.

The poker room has a mob theme, so a number of Vegas casino chips in the frame have mob ties from the Chicago skim, along with my three favorite places to gamble, now gone, Trump Taj Mahal, Monte Carlo, and most recently, The Mirage.

Also, big cash game in the works for March, followed by a St. Patrick/Joseph Day party with more poker the following week.

So a background on the chips on display...

The top row are my two favorite places to play in Vegas. My first time to Vegas, my parents took me when I was 12. Stayed at the Mirage. Saw Siegfried and Roy. Cool as hell.

My dad was comped at Monte Carlo for a few years so when I went with him, we stayed there. Very underrated. I stayed at The Mirage when I wasn't staying at Monte Carlo. Now both gone.

The $25 and $100 Mirage chips I harvested myself the last time I played there, in October. Sad to see it go.

The second row was my go to place when I lived in New Jersey. I pretty much lived in that poker room on the every other weekend that I wasn't working. Really loved that place. The poker room, now a theatre, and the Trump Taj Mahal long gone.

The third row is a mix of Trump Taj Mahal, and other Atlantic City casinos, either still around, or gone.

The 4th row has a lot of history to it, especially the theme of the poker room.

All the chips on the 4th row are from long closed casinos with mob ties involving the Kansas City and Chicago skim (for anyone who saw the move Casino, the Stardust was the epicenter of the skim, portrayed in the move as the fictional Tangiers).

Desert Inn, Dunes, Fremont, Hacienda, Sands, Stardust, and the still open Tropicana, though likely not for much longer.

Fremont, Hacienda, Stardust, and Tropicana were the big 4 casinos involved in the illegal mob activities.

The last row consists of some of my own CPC creations, defunct Las Vegas casinos, and the remaining chips, currently active Las Vegas casinos (some with mob ties, mainly in the construction loans, such as Circus Circus, and The Flamingo).

It was a lot of fun to try to track down all these chips for the display.

I love the attention to detail and the homage I guess you would say to the history! Very cool stories.

How do you like the round table? Looks beautiful and that style is growing on me for sure. How many people are comfortable around it, and whats the size? This may be answered somewhere in the 9 pages, but sadly I cant read.

Okay, edit, I read the first post (60") PLUS I scrolled to see the cupholders lol, look at me go. Is 8 comfortable?

Yes. 8 is comfortable.

Honestly, if there is limited space, the round is perfect.
