Have you ever had an itch that wouldn't go away? There's one itch I've had for 10+ years. I've been scratching this itch since July 28th, 2012:

I didn't set out to build a limit set at first. I liked the chips in a NL set along with solid metallic gold quarters with black hotstamps, but I could never find higher denomination chips that I liked with them. Instead, I decided to make a limit set and pair the Silks $1s with $20 Matsui presidential plaques. Today, I received some sweet, sweet relief:

I think the itch is finally scratched...

Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way. I can't remember everyone, and I don't keep detailed transaction logs, but I'd like to thank @liftapint, @BGinGA, @Weckedy, @John Conor, and @TRKingChips for either helping me with the set, helping me plan the set, or just for chatting about these chips along the way.

I received the package and found one damaged chip…otherwise minty…

I reached out to Elvis and without any delay, the guy sends me a free dead mint replacement all the way from Singapore. Talk about a great seller! I’ve done multiple amazing transactions with @steam and the service level is consistently good. Fast shipping. Effective comms. Great guy to deal with.

Never could get a lot of the 2nd series, even when I was a kid. I have several but never had the full 1st or 2nd. Used to have full 3rd-7th and still have most of them. Collecting those and Mad magazines was a lot of fun.

I had a thought of doing a GPK CPC set at one time, but that ship has sailed. I leave that to the pros like @chipinla
