Can someone help me color ID these chips? Blue chip looks royal but from the side it's kinda different. Yellow seems too dark for canary... Thanks for your help!

Mailman came today! After about 20 years of playing with a set of sluggos that has some nexgens mixed in, I finally got a decent set of chips. They are only milanos, and with all the grief they get around here my expectations were quite tempered. I was all set to be disappointed, but it turns out I really like them. Much better quality than I was expecting. Now to relabel 1000 chips. Good times.

Great chips there! My first china clay cash set, was a big set of Milanos.

I’d say the “grief” you are referring to, is clay snobbery. I do believe for the $$$, they are a great value.

It’s a solid “starting out in the hobby” set, if you ask me.

One day, you may decide to step up into the Paulson world, and you’ll be able to quickly and easily sell these Milanos, if that happened

Congratulations on the set my fellow Canuck!

Mail day!!!! These are for my over label cash set project. I have another rack of the Paris 2s in the mail and gear working on the labels. And there are 400 of the HSI SEC $1s already here. So a 1k peice set. :D And I may like the desijn cards the most out of all I have so far. Very cool and feel nice.

I was thinking Blurple
I broke mine out and it is a no
maybe just a variant of Royal?
make separate pics of each
mixing similar colors in one shot or scan gives bad results

edit: I have just realized my Blurple color sample is different from my Blurple racks
I have mixed purchases showing the color variance & never gave it much thought.
Some are closer to the 'official sample' (darker, more purple) and others more like your odd deep blue chip.
Taking pics is difficult. Different lighting and backgrounds do not show what the eye sees.
I will post some examples later...

I hoped someone here got those.
I wondered if I was bidding against someone on here. I figured anyone else looking on there would figure they weren't worth as much as they went for. The shipper even asked "what's so special about these?" lol.
I'd say royal blue and canary.
Give them a go in an ultrasonic cleaner and/or magic eraser. :)
It's very close to royal but it's a bit lighter. I'll try oiling the edge again, I used a cloth that still had some oil left over from some other chips (was too lazy to go get the mineral oil lol) and I'm not sure any got on the chip.

I think it might be royal and a variant as you mention. No other shade of blue is really close and royal is the closest but is slightly darker on the sample. Prob just a different colored batch.

I bought all of mine as 'Blurple'. 3 shades, but none are so light as to be Royal.
The shades go almost unnoticed but in different lighting produce different photos of the same chips.

Ahhh I see! I was wondering if it was just a batch difference but it was so different from the sample. I do have some other chips that are royal blue and they're more similar to the sample so it had me wondering if there was a different color. It probably is a batch difference though, the only way I can actually tell that they're slightly different is by looking at it in a certain angle in the light so I guess it won't matter too much haha.

The world of chip color is complex and difficult. I'm about to go down the rabbit hole...
