When I got back and showed my wife the plaques, I said, " These are amazing, and awesome and spectacular, and I want to get even more."

She replied, "So, you just got a whole bunch of something that you said is nearly impossible to get, and your first reaction is that you want more?"

And I thought, "Well, yes, and no. Yes I want more, but my first reaction was how my custom chip concept will go with these to make them even more playable."

Incredi-huge-normous thanks to @liftapint for working with me on this massive trade. I can honestly say that these will NEVER be leaving me. Not only are they awesome, and historic, and awesome, and amazing, and did I mention awesome?, but they will always be a reminder for me of my time spent in France.
And these will be played. I hope to get them into games as much as possible. I want them to live their intended life.
Oh, and Mel even bought me a drink! I’m sorry the pub closed so early. Next time we’ll have to go to a place you recommend.

Also, it was a real pleasure meeting @Saoliver . Really nice guy, and put up with me talking his ear off.
