My CDI items arrived today from @FordPickup92 and @Ben8257 ... so happy with how these turned out. Thank you both for the logistics, design work, and patience. @Kensco you rock for making this possible. @Polochris you too man... do you still own CDIs? I just got my 98s back from @horseshoez and am stoked to play these at my next tournament.... hopefully that's before our newborn goes off to college!!!

So I assume there is a short cut/app/kit that you can have this made.
Not really. The only "shortcut" was using Photoshop to get the photo down to the right size, drawing the chip she is sitting on (I started with a scrown chip but the size was just too small) and converting into an indexed image with the exact colors I wanted. The rest was all manual work (2x, as I made a prototype first to make sure everything was correct) in choosing the right sizes at the right places, then dividing it into 6 modules so that more people can build together. Also, I had to murder some rare old parts to get color matching on the spots :D thought it was only appropriate given the recipient!

It took 5-6 weeks in USPS' limbo, glad she arrived safely :hearts:

Those gold tokens are very cool. No idea what I'd use them for, but I want one! Card protector I guess :bag:
Dunes slot tokens
The BIG $5 one is SUPER awesome :)

The non silver slot tokens are all over eBay not too expensive

The heavy Sterling Silver $5 ones are realy heavy and super awesome

FedEx did it again! Well, almost. Package scheduled for delivery today, then suddenly NA-HAAA, IMPORT PROCEDURES! The procedure took exactly 1 hour, but enough for delivery to get delayed. But this time I beat them! Called and insisted to pick it up myself, so they had to cave in.

I'm supposed to be getting some custom ceramic chips By Monday. The vendor had shipped them on Tuesday from Hong Kong. So I was surprised when I found out they arrived on Wednesday which was yesterday. However, the shipment is on now hold when it went through customs. Does anyone know what means? Has anyone experienced this? I contacted DHL and am awaiting their respose. Thanks.

I know this is supposed to show mail chip pr0n, but I thought posting it here someone who experienced this may see it and may know.

It could be held up in customs for as short as a few hours or for up to a month. Average pre-covid stay was 2-3 days, but I'd wager it's closer to 1-2 weeks now. And good luck getting any kind of update while it's in the grasp of that black hole.

I second this! My advice, expect the worst and hope for the best.

Since March, I’ve had some items sit for up to a month in customs limbo and as little as a few days.

I'd like to ask all chippers to join me in prayer to the Poker Gods.

For once not to give us that Ace or the set of Kings or not to be rivered by some idiot who called our all-in with 72o and is one card away from being the instigator of a full-house fueled rage quit from our end...

My track & trace link told me that my first full mail day (not just samples) is mere kilometers away now, and that somewhere within the next 24 hours, I will be the proud owner of a small, yet playable set of decent poker chips.

Pray with me, that they arrive safely, that they arrive as planned and that not a single one of them is chipped, so that they may know eternal glory of the felt that accompanies them, and many a night of laughter, tilting and rebuys <3

(if you want to pray for that 72o-playing-bastard to catch penicilline resistant syfilis, that's good too)

The Poker Gods have heard our collective prayers!

As per the centuries old tradition, our package arrived in the 34 minute window we weren't home, but because we have a fantastic neighbor, I was greeted by the below sight on my arrival:

By the looks of it, only the small box has a slightly dented corner, so the contents should be fine.

It'll be a little longer before I can inspect everything, as people apparently tried to give my work inbox a heart attack while I was gone, so I'll be busy for the next couple hours :(
