The Official Mail Showcase Thread (poker related) (45 Viewers)

Yes. And it sat like that for a month. Then I went to a post office to ask what the problem was. The next day it got delivered. The squeaky wheel gets the grease my friend. Go to the post office and complain.
I'm gonna do that. I'm annoyed.

Unfortunately I've had to do that multiple times this year. Most times that shakes it loose but I have had several lost packages this year. All poor poker chips into the abyss
Never had a package lost before, but when you have stuff coming in from west coast Canada quicker than states surrounding me, there's a problem. Of course the package I need/want most is 13 Empress Joliet $500 secondaries & a Starlite $500 chip :banghead:

Same thing for me. Waiting on an expensive barrel of 43mm's and it's just MIA..
Can I derail this thread for a moment to ask people if they're having issues with packages by the post office being declared "in transit, arriving late"?

I have several important things on the way, specifically chips, that are showing this status. One, hasn't had an update since November 29th.

This has happened before but I almost always get it the following day. How worried should I be? Are others having this issue?

I'm so excited to post here when I get something. The thrill, the elation... Then it's over. And then someone posts their pR0n and I'm all ga-ga and drooly.

... Then I'm sad and need to buy more chips, so I do. Anything. A few randos off of eBay, maybe a barrel from a TCR link that's still active. Maybe 2 racks of something off the classifieds.

I think I need help... Or just more chips.

Unfortunately, this is rather classic behaviour in early addiction.

Pray that you never get to the point where you buy on impulse, get little/no pleasure from them, and then seek more.

I have six incoming that are running late. 5 jobs and 1 personal. I trust it's because of the massive influx due to Christmas. Lines have been wacky around here lately getting stuff out.

No, no... I think I have it under control. The most recent TCR sale proved that. I restrained heavily and was delighted with what little I did purchase.

... And there's still plenty to buy. A custom bourbon CPC set in the works, and now my eyes have been opened to house mold chips.

But I hear you. It's just so much fun to get anything in the mail. It could be a single chip and it makes me so happy

When buying and posting chips in the mail pr0n thread no longer gets me high I crush up TRK chips into a fine powder and snort it up my nose using rolled up Zimbabwe 10 trillion dollar bills
Time to grind up my scraps and sell them to you..... I got your hookup!

Indeed. The first six months here it was buy, buy, buy anything in sight. Having a bit of everything now, I'm able to deduce what I like and what's still missing from my collection. Unfortunately, at this juncture, anything else that I want is unattainable or above my bankroll.

So I did what any logical person would do and ordered customs.

Thank you @TheChipRoom!

Definitely USPS but this is the first peak ever that I’m getting off at 6pm everyday at work, so I would say it’s safe to ship UPS with no issues. Just make sure it’s packaged really good (extra tape)

No issues?

UPS lost one of my packages and continues to argue the claim....

This is going to be @mathewsarcher83 second time going to the post office today and I really hope they have an answer for him. I’m so frustrated right now... it’s the first time I’ve had any problems with chips not arriving.
Anyone have experience with a scannable label but illegible mailing address that eventually results in the package that gets sent back to sender?

Not specifically this issue.

I had a different issue where I printed a label from home with my shitty printer. It looked fine, but apparently the barcode could not be scanned. When a scheduled pickup was requested the mail person must not have been able to scan the item, and instead of keying it in manually to get it in the system, they didn't. This resulted in several of my packages showing a status of "label created" etc... I couldn't track the item at all and neither could the buyer. I didn't see an update until almost 2 weeks later when the item finally showed as "delivered". These were eBay sales and almost resulted it me having to refund money, lose and item, and get negative feedback.

Fault on both sides. Mine for having a crappy printer, theirs for not doing their job and still entering it in manually, like they're supposed to. In my defense, I didn't know the labels couldn't be scanned. A friendly note or something from the mail person would have gone a long way to avoid this frustration.

So, I just go to the post office now and hand drop off items, especially chips.
