They are blaze orange, I could not get the fading sunlight to cooperate well lol
But yes he held them for us until things seemed a bit safe to send out... it was nail biting for sure!

That's an absolutely amazing score.

I had one each of those two Canadian 50c, but sold them to @HaRDHouSeiNC along with some others, as I'm not into collecting fracs. But these two really were pretty cool. I prefer the color on the one you got in quantity, with the blue/white spots. Congrats!

And yes, absolutely no doubt blaze orange. Glowing like crazy.

When the guy that works for you comes in first thing in the morning and says "hey man! Thanks for covering for me last Thursday on my birthday bro... I wanted to say thanks and found these on FB market place... it said they were rare"
interested-very-interested.jpg

Then hands you this small bag...

Dibs :ninja:

You do have great attention to detail though and should have noticed that there is no tail and the feet are more like hooves instead of more like paws.

In all honsty John Im rather dissappointed you didnt correctly identify it was a Capybara and not a Platypus as suggested.
Are we sure it’s not a raccoon tho?

Thanks! We were so excited when we found out they were available in quantity! Always liked both mcphillips and regent fracs, but definitely prefer the blue
Yah I have one of each
Are those live?
Tell them go get 5 more racks !!! :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO:
Afaik the casino is closed and they have been out of circulation for quite some time. I wish there was a way to harvest racks, but these are also minty fresh, I'm sure by now anything that would have been live is pretty used

Now sitting and looking at that bag all day... I kind of wish there was a cookie in there instead... smh

A gift is always nice and this was thoughtful.

I learned a long time ago to never give someone a gift related to their hobby and passion unless they specifically ask for something or you happen to be passionate about that same exact thing. Give them a gift related to something that you love and know a lot about that you think they would appreciate and open them up to new things.

My point exactly... a cookie for a guy on a 6 month diet would have been an excellent gift... but I will take the damn dice chips! Lmao

I grew up very poor and didn't get many presents. Almost safe to say I have got more "gifts" from PCF members in the last 2 years than my entire childhood. Not looking for sympathy but I know the importance of a gift believe me, doesn't matter what it is!

Last year for my birthday @Lil Tuna gave me a sample set of his original chips he bought, he had his Dice chips custom stamped. While it was a good laugh it is also something I will display proudly, a mark of our friendship and the though of giving me a piece of his home game history really hit home for me!

I mean the authentic Cubans, and theunopened deck of Pick Hobson cards were also amazing! Brie and I hunted high and low for a year for a damn single Aces original frac with no luck that was given to me that day by @Seeking Alpha Social Club also they all threw in and matt had a custom cake made of my favorite chip!

People just don't do things like that on the dirt road I grew up on. I will never forget it... now to tie back into my original comment of "a cookie would have been nice!" Matt, Kevin and Brie are all older than this boy that works for me... they already knew a giant cookie and a 6 pack would make the perfect gift!! Lmao

You're going to scrub off the stamp? I had no idea this was even possible. What does that look like?

I'll post the $25 to my thread on it once I do it later, but basically like this $5er. Some chips are tougher than others with getting the stamp off; just depends on the depth of the stamp and probably some other factors at the time it was stamped. This is one of the better results, before any magic eraser and other cleaning; just stamp removal:

As a board gamer I've gotten my share of gift purchases which were a themed version of Monopoly...

Smile and nod and say "Thanks!" and then off to the bottom of the pile it goes. It's the thought that counts.

Wow - that came out great! Thanks for sharing this. I am equally impressed, excited, and terrified now that I know this is a thing. :)

Hard to capture with my office lighting, but I love the color combo on these and am excited to add them to the family once I scrub that stamp off.

Those are great-looking chips, for sure! If it were me, I'd leave the cancellation stamp intact; it adds some flair, and makes the chip unique, showing off some of the history behind it. But that's just me, I like things that display their provenance.

That's awesome Ben. Thanks for sharing. And I always love that photo of you and the Artichoke Joe's frac cookie.

Recent mail day...... just bought another rack of these 43 mm 1ks from @The Chip Exchange. These are really a hidden gem on this forum. They clean up really nice And $10/chip for 43 mm pumpkins is an awesome price. Can’t believe these are still available!
Wow! These pics convinced me to ditch the HSI primary 1ks in my set. I now have 60 Cincy 1ks and 20 5ks on the way from the chip exchange.

I battled with the idea, especially since the denominations still show with the stamp on, but ultimately feel like I am restoring them and bringing them back to their former glory. The indention will always be there regardless on 95%+ of the chips and I actually really like the full inlay. That being said, it has been a long process and the removal is a bitch, so the notion has definitely crossed my mind a few times (and will continue to do so since I have a bunch more on the way and to acquire).
