This may not look remarkable, but it is. At least to me.
We’ve all seen Foxwoods $25’s - there are racks of them here on this site. They’re all cancelled. But I’ve never seen any other cancelled 1st edition Foxwoods chips. So I assume they destroyed all the denominations except the $25s? But why?
And were they sold off? Given away? Smuggled out? I haven’t been able to get any answers. But when I was looking for answers, I saw this on the Chipguide:

I assumed that’s a secondary $25, but I’d never seen one. So they cancelled and sold off the secondary $25s too? But where are they? I’ve looked for one for the past year, and never seen one literally anywhere, except that picture on the Chipguide. And then last week, I scored one on eBay for $2.25.

So many mysteries. Are these secondary’s? Were all the secondaries cancelled? Or just the secondary $25s? If so, why? And either way, WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GO?

I’m thrilled to have gotten one, but now I want some answers! (And maybe 99 more?)

LOVE the penny chip! Several of us had a discussion about creating one for the New China Club cards mold set. 01/02 or 02/04 Holdem for cheap folks who don't want to gamble any real amount of money, or for teaching your kids to play, and learn the real results of gambling. I hate playing any kind of money games with coins, even if they are a lot cheaper than chips.

I’ve got a few ideas for them. Right now we have this trophy someone had that says “World’s Biggest Bitch” that we give to the loser of the night lol. I’m thinking of turning these into a prize for the biggest winner of the night that they can use at the next game for something fun. Maybe get to play a free bomb pot or something?

Always wondered the same. I found one quite a few years ago when I was collecting Foxwoods, but it’s the o my one I’d seen until that one popped up on eBay. I was shocked it went so cheap, and I’m glad you got it. It is so much better if a chip, and I wish I could have found more over the years. I’d love to know where they all went.

Ι didn't take the picture. The couple next to Tom and Rita are the current Greek PM and his wife.
They met in in the island of Paros, where the Hankss own a home.
