Ok, what chips are those?!?!
Yep RHC boulder $2s

Can’t wait for mine to arrive! Congrats what’s your plan for them?

edit: just read further down and see you’ve got no idea. Just had to have them like me...
Lol yeah I really like the idea of them as a yellow fiver or a 25 cent chip! I have a heck imon a mixed set going on and they currently clash with my arc yellow chips. Have some other possible rack options so going to wait and see what evolves!

What’s the story behind them?
@horseshoez and @Steppenwolf know the story way better, but the skinny of it is that an old collector bought a small hoard of CDI '98 chips back in the days when he could just walk into the Paulson store and buy them. This was well over 20 years ago. He realized the worth of what he had a couple of years back and started to sell off his collection. I think he signed up with an account here but didn't come back after one of his racks of $1 chips sold in an auction for less than he was hoping.

The two guys tagged above got a hold of him and he sold lots of his collection to them off forum. I jumped into the CDI hunt after they did but they cut me in on a couple of racks so I could build my set.

Bought a barrel of 25's from him on eBay a while back. I asked him if he had any more 98 CDI's. He gave him his phone number to chat over the phone and after the call he sent me that pic. I was mind blown. Made sure I got what I needed to complete my set, a couple of the local guys around me who needed pieces for their sets, and connected him with guys from PCF who were pretty desperate to complete their 98 CDI cash and tournament sets. Opportunity was there to purchase all of it but wanted to make sure that people got their fare share. I can honestly say that it made several people very happy,

Assuming all in VG or better condition:

5's - $4.00-4.50/chip
25's - $2.75-$3.00/chip
100's - $3.50-$3.75/chip
500's - $4.00-4.50/chip
1000's - $8.00-10.00/chip

Wow. These have tripled in price since I had some during the blue boards. I’m gonna see if my friend still has them. This was 12 years ago. He’s not a chipper so he might still have them

The tournament side is very good looking. I let mine go down the street from me and I have a feeling down the street they'll remain for quite some time.

I'll keep an eye out for your progress, they'll either be a standard Cali $5 or 1/4s for me as well. I need to see how they fit into my mixed set when everything turns up...

Also received today, an add-on (T1000 x 10) for one of my custom tourney set :

As you can see, @SUN-FLY Poker Chips is amazing and is able to perfectly replicate colors from 2 different batches (the first one was in 2019) :

I also received an addon (€20 x 40) for my custom cash set :

Again, pics to compare with the first batch :

And then a custom travel / heads up set I order for a gift to a friend :
