In general it's absolutely true. From personal taxes to business taxes - we're higher. Alberta has lost a shit tonne of investment in part due to the tax environment.

It's been so long since I've gotten all my chips out I actual forgot about the house mold casino set I started. The Aria $1 is definitely my favorite.

Congrats on finishing the sample, the struggle is real sometimes! I recall trying to track down a T500 to complete my Binion's WSOP Paulson sample set - in the end, after missing out on a couple, I paid whatever it took! I don't even have the sample set anymore, lol. Sometimes I feel like the journey is almost more rewarding/exciting than the final result.

Honestly! I’m so thrilled to be able to own and play the Pick Hobsons that it’ll be in the theme game for a while!!! Never thought I’d own a set at the prices. And now that they’re trending the prices are thru the roof on some rather common chips. Oh well. I LOVE EM! Theme night!

Honestly there’s a lot of stuff I don’t know why people buy new. You can go to a few estate sales and pretty much equip a house with great quality stuff. Not soft furniture or any of that shit, but good kitchenware, appliances, absolutely shit tons of bar ware, art, audio equipment, and misc collectibles, almost all of it made in an era when they made stuff to last a lifetime. You just have to hunt for a while.

I couldn't resist and secured me one of those jack cincy sample sets. I gotta say, the snapper really is impressive. Definitely the strongest chip out of the lineup for me.

fk yeah, the limit set is coming along nicely! Just 3 more racks to go to reach 900.
I know, I'm late to the party, but yes, these are amazing in person. They'll replace the IOC $5s in my IOC set to give it more of a punch.
finally my flamingo nl set is complete! The fuchsias will be my fracs and a second rack of $5s will round off the set.
and here is @Mr_Y3RAC s future $10 value chip. Congratulations Clemens, these are freaking beautiful.
