I would title this post 'Anti-Mail Pron'. I am glad I did not pay a lot for these chips.
Let me start by saying what you see below was not purchased from a PCFer (all packages I have received from PCFers have been properly packaged for safe travels).
The FedEx box that these chips came in provided little opportunity for all of these items in the pictures below to move; however, as soon as I picked up the FedEx box, I heard the sound that makes all of us chippers cringe...chips freely moving around inside banging into each other. The box would have been a great rattle for a little baby. Upon opening the FedEx box, the chips were packed as shown below.

My thoughts were that it doesn't look like chips were just bouncing around in the FedEx box, they were just bouncing around in each separate package in the box. I saw the two White Claw boxes on the bottom and thought at least they double boxed that part of the package (more on this later down the post).
On the left end of the first picture were two smaller packages of loose chips in plastic bags secured with painter's tape. These two packages were used as padding for the larger packages.

The two larger packages were full of loosely moving chips with plastic wrap around them so none of them fell out. These looked like I ordered a couple of trays of catering and they threw some plastic wrap on them to keep the flies out of the food.

Now, back to the double White Claw box from the 1st picture above. My original thought was they doubled boxed that package for safety. I was completely wrong. The second White Claw box contained ~170 chips just laying in the bottom of the box and they put the other White Claw box on top of them to hold them in place.

To my surprise, none of the ~170 in this bottom box were broken. I can see two broken chips in the plastic wrapped White Claw box and it makes me scared to open it because there are probably several more. I do not see any broken chips in the big plastic wrapped plastic bin but I am sure I will find some when I start digging into them.
For all the well packaged chip packages I have received, there had to be a poorly packaged one sometime. I am just glad it was this package and not one that contained valuable chips.
