The Official Mail Showcase Thread (poker related) (107 Viewers)

Today is no doubt the best day since I joined PCF! First of all, many thanks @Marius L !

My first ever Paulson chips! I saw them hundreds times in the forums, and I got the actual mail... It's like a fancy naked chick suddenly laying on the bed in front of you, just hard to believe that. LOL! I washed my hands, put the mail on my mouse pad, took them out one by one. Thanks again Marius for the careful pack, and I got to see them one by one! Also, thanks @davislane for mini group buy with me.

One day, hopefully I can get a set of WTHC! One day!

Excuse for my newbie excitement.

You never forget your first. Congrats!

@5aces contacted me to borrow my aria cards mold sample set to get a feel for them before considering a purchase.

This led to a mail day of my own and would you look at that!
A stray Cesar's $2! My first glimpse into the world of house molds and of course it was love at first sight.
Sigh... I might have to start a new set now.

Thanks a lot Sebastian!

You know who to call! I've harvested plenty of Caesars 2s.

Absolutely heart warming reading this post! @chipinla is correct, we all love seeing people come in with that kind of passion for the hobby! That is trully what it is all about, total chip nerds... but you are in good company @Wizard19 ! There are many of us that feel the same way about little clay discs. They are not just poker chips with a single purpose to many of us, they are our version of "fine art" I have collected many things over the years from action figure cards, Hasbro figurines, guns, DJ equipment, the list goes on and on... but nothing ever has fully pulled me in like poker chips! It is our life now for @FordPickup92 and me

Not just owning awesome poker chips, but also sharing them with friends and other collectors is really what it's all about! Living in the states gives us an unfair advantage as we can get together in groups on a semi regular occasion.

I remember looking at all of our cheap slugged chips when one day a tiny lot of mixed casino Paulsons popped up on eBay. I think I paid like $20 for it

I remember telling Brie as I opened the box "once I touch these... it's all down hill from there!" I already knew what was coming. Should have closed the box, thrown it in the trash and moved on! Maybe my bank account would know that at least having a couple zeros was like before. But honestly I wouldn't change a thing... well maybe would have targeted more chips that are basically impossible now... but so is life on that part.

Best of luck on your journey, and someone get this guy a couple Leaded THCs and some bright IHCs! Really warp his obsession!

I’m currently holding onto some leaded THCs to re-ship for another member and I refuse to take them out of their original packaging out of fear that I may love them like everybody else.

Like cigarettes, I refuse to risk that addiction! haha

Yes, don't touch or - god beware - shuffle them. I can't get the very distinct feeling and sound out of my head now and I'm afraid there is no turning back...

But why? It's so much easier to skip past all the NAGB chips when you understand what leaded chips feel like! Lol and then you'll understand TRKs too!

I’ve only recently hit my “Okay, I’m done buying chips for real this time” phase. Let me re-do the “rabbit hole” phase and back around one more time before progressing to the next phase of chipping  :ROFLMAO:

Remember what Curiosity did to the Cat Bro! Ship them out immediately!! They will call to you in your sleep! If nothing else...ask a trustworthy neighbor with lots of guns if they can just store them for you for a couple weeks! DO NOT OPEN THE BOX!! Remember what was in Brad Pitts box in Seven... this is way worse! Trust me!

Sorry Brie, I shouldn't poke fun at you and should be at myself...With all this chipping at least you have socks unlike myself. Iol.
Just don't fall so far down the rabbit hole that the air gets too thin like @FordPickup92 did. Then you start believing that toilet paper is supposed to come off the back side of the roll.
