Awesome little mail day! Thank you @BamaT8ter for helping me finally finish a damn near 3 year project!

One of the very best kind of gifts from Mr. Tom @ReallyGoodUsername #62 of the Jokers Wild $20s, for me there isn't anything much cooler than those! Seriously thank you brother!

Also @TRKingChips for another one of my Grail fracs that I have had my eye on for over a year, finally decided with the way this hobby is going I better grab one before the opportunity escapes! I can not resist Watermelon chips! Thank You John

Wonder how many there were in the batch before chips_n_cats broke it up, lovely chips and that ones in solid condition. Nice pickup !
Seriously, with chipsANDcats who knows. Seems like an awfully laborious way to make a couple bucks. They have an awful lot of plastic and ceramic turds in that inventory too lol

Found these California Bell Club chips on eBay. Pretty worn and could use a cleaning. Would Dawn and hot water be okay to use on these or better to leave alone?

I have always liked these and have cleaned a few. The inlay is prone to getting wet with some seepage under the laminate and the gold circle is easy to damage/fade (maybe already happened a little on those $2’s?). Those don’t actually look too dirty so you should be able to do em quick. Try one and see how the inlay fairs.

Thanks, I'll try not to submerge them, and just do gentle scrubbing with soapy water and a toothbrush and see how they do.

Took a while but found one!

Awesome chip, had to dig mine out after seeing that picture (which in turn reminded me I need to sell all my extra singles  )

Sadly the chip on the left had been permanently damaged by being glued in a locket. And I was really surprised to discover that stamp underneath the inlay

What the heck! Is that like an extra security feature or something?

what racks are you using here? do they fit well in said racks?
I am using Chipco racks, and they are a tad bit loose. They still fit 20 / barrel, but there's about 1mm of wiggle room. It's way better than any other rack I had which easily fit 21 with room to spare.

Wow, that's crazy!

Chips get molded twice - once to make a slug with the spots in place, and then a second time to put the inlay and edge mold impressions on. For some reason this one must have gotten hotstamped after the first molding but before the second one. I wonder why... maybe just to practice or test the hotstamping, maybe just as a dumb mistake.

Likely sold in the souvenir shop and it was pressed into something like a money clip. They did this with a lot of the older chips so you couldn't redeem it as a cash chip. We have a few of those
this they were both giveaways (never meant for live play) some on lockets/money clips and some for key chains. Very cool you have the non-drilled one though. Better for display at least on one side :D
