He posted that he was selling them on his Twitter and Facebook pages, and somebody posted on here asking whether anyone had managed to pick them up (as they had already been marked as sold on his post).

I struck up a conversation with him, however, and after a bit of back and forth (and a much higher offer), the friend he'd sold them to was happy to release them to me.

After a year or so of planning and travelling from Maine to Alaska, then MIA in Memphis for a while, these babies have finally arrived home to Norway.

A last-but-not-least masterpiece set by @AK Chip. And boy did I challenge him with the design (in addition to scrowns not being the easiest to work with). Thanks, Pat!

As usual, capturing the beauty of pure shiny gold on photos is not easy.
