For my games we usually play a game we just call "dice." The dice stay on the table and whoever is current dealer can initiate the side game. We usually play for between $1 - $10/person per game, depending on the group. Everyone gets 2 rolls to make their best poker hand (or really, Yahtzee hand as 5 of a kind plays). High hand wins the side game pot. On any given night we typically end up playing this somewhere between 5-10 times, I'd say.I have to figure out a way to use these @LeGold dice!

I started adding custom dice to all my sets for this purpose and they are fantastic. My friends generally are more impressed with the dice than any of the chips.
Thanks for taking the time, guys. Don’t wanna be rude here, but it’s not doing it for me. I’m probably just not much of dice player. I enjoy yahtzee with the kids, but that’s about it. Still, some Carmel Casino dice would be really cool! Two way we use them.
1) shut the box
2) dice game - each player puts a determined amount in the pot. the goal is to get the lowest score possible adding up all the dice. Start with 5 dice. Each roll u lock in at least 1 die (with the lowest number). Once a die is locked in u can’t RE-roll it. You can lock up more than 1 dice if u want on any particular roll. 3 equals 0, all the other numbers are face value. So if u roll 3 3s and 2 1s, ur total score is a 2. If u roll 2 3s on the first roll u can lock them both in. Roll until you have locked in all 5 dice. Lowest score wins the pot. If two people tie, the pot doubles and everyone rolls again. Great game…….
Ha, no offense taken. It's not for everyone and generally 1 or 2 people opt out of playing when we do this. This is something we always played for my cash games and it's fun, so it was just nice to have an excuse to order some of these dice. Thanks for taking the time, guys. What's this 'use' you speak of?I have to figure out a way to use these @LeGold dice!
Good pointWhat's this 'use' you speak of?
Do we not just buy them as they are shiny and awesome? But literally have no use for other than to compliment the chips?
No.....just me?....
Thiccc
I thought blaze was my favorite at first. After seeing the blurple I now wish I could justify a full playable setSooooo… thoughts on the blurple
I have a question for @LeGold: what hurts more, stepping on a die or on a Lego (let’s say the worst Lego to step on)? What's this 'use' you speak of?

Hands down, LEGO. This piece on it's side, RIP your feet:I have a question for @LeGold: what hurts more, stepping on a die or on a Lego (let’s say the worst Lego to step on)?
Wow I’ve never seen that piece before. I’d have assumed the corner of a laser-cut die would be the most painful.
But the corner will never be facing 100% perpendicular to the floor. Probably still not a great experience.Wow I’ve never seen that piece before. I’d have assumed the corner of a laser-cut die would be the most painful.
Tough one. I don't have empirical results to support neither of the options. And I intend leaving it that way if it is OK...?I have a question for @LeGold: what hurts more, stepping on a die or on a Lego (let’s say the worst Lego to step on)?
I could imagine a worst-case-scenario involving high pile carpet...But the corner will never be facing 100% perpendicular to the floor. Probably still not a great experience.
Way to be a teamplayer…who better?Tough one. I don't have empirical results to support neither of the options. And I intend leaving it that way if it is OK...?
We find a Danish guy? I think it's only appropriate!Way to be a teamplayer…who better?
I may eventually be the 17th person to see my own Dealer Button in person but damnit is it cool to see in pictures haha
I’m a Kem card kinda guy. These are going to work well with the Hemingway set.
