So... contrary to my sons assertion, apparently I do NOT have a chip collecting problem. Thank you!!!

That's a more than average first year. Congratulations
Some word of advice from someone who went through the same phrase, although tina ceramic felt super good for value, I will tone down a bit on buying too many of them.

I bought too many ceramic sets (7 at one point) / used casino sets and ended up selling most of them as my budget and tastes went up over the years.

Thank you for the advice.

It has been useful to have a bunch of chips to leave a few at relatives and friends houses. They are interested in playing poker and some of them collecting chips as well.

Agreed on the change of taste and the casino chips are normally for special occasions.

Thanks to people like you we can make more informed purchases and not buy loads of sluggos.

The Coyote's current little hoard, about to be slightly boosted with 100x$5 yellow AOC V2 cash chips and 40x$1 Paris Las Vegas cash chips.

Those Paris blues are my favorite $1 chip by a MILE.

Added my newly received CPC set to my chip storage "closet"...
I know it doesn't compare to some others, but I still think I might have a problem...:unsure::oops::oops:

...and yes, there are more chips behind the boxes on the bottom shelf... :wtf:
I'm curious, how many boxes or trays can you stack on top of each other before the chips starts warping over time?

  • Column 2, 9 racks high (the next shelf up prevents any higher).
  • The room is not exactly temperature controlled (connected to the house, but no ac vent and the door is kept closed).
  • The chips rarely get used (I run mostly tournaments, and those are cash chips).
  • Zero warping.

It’s not a large number of chips, but I think I have a non-trivial percentage of the JD1KS and 5KPs...View attachment 1443128

Note: No filter on these. They just photographed like that.
Grey rack, middle row, 8th chip down has a split spot. If you have OCD, this may tilt you. Feel free to ship it to me for proper disposal.

99 chips in a rack can also be tilting for OCD, so just to be a nice guy, I'll take the whole rack for you.
