The Return of Chris Ferguson (2 Viewers)

I was just reading some articles yesterday to see if there were any update on him, Howard and the rest of the FTP crew. Amazing they avoided prison time.

People were up in arms a few years ago when there was talk that he might show up at the WSOP.

He's got balls to show up, I'll give him that.

Get outta here!

There was much speculation that Howard Leaderer was going to show his face at the WSOP this year due to rather belated apology letter to the poker community. This had everybody (on NVG) thinking that he was going to show up. His apology letter got so much bad feed back, I'd say Jesus went first to test the waters.

Man the nerve.
That's just because they bitch about everything @2+2 (esp NVG) :)

@ParrotheadMZ -> read up on Ultimate Bet scandal

This wasn't the UB scandal. That would be the 1994 WSOP ME champ Russ Hammilton, who has not shown his face at the WSOP since the UB scandal. Which is where Russ had a super user account programmed into the software that could view holecards of opponents.

Chris and Howard culprits in the Full Tilt scandal where as part owners of Full Tilt they were accepting large payments from players deposits (much say knowingly) before it's assets were seized by the DOJ. Many American players have still yet to receive their bankroll back. Mainly players who were affiliates of Full Tilt, claiming they were "in on it".

I stand corrected...indeed it was the full tilt scandal
Thanks for the correction 200 Motels (and great recap)

Did Annie Duke also get her poker fingers messy in an unrelated scandal? I haven't seen her face for a loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg time.

Duke was co-founder, executive vice president, and commissioner of the Epic Poker League from 2011-12 which failed in 2012 and is now bankrupt with many investors upset over how it was managed.

I think that and her being Howard's sister, she's likely laying low as well.

She was responsible for the NAPT and its crumble. North American poker tour fwiw. Guaranteed prize pools and was supposed to be more of a league, where you have to place to have a 'card'; similar to the PGA tour.

welp, looks like I just won my first prop bet of the WSOP 2016!

God I love her. Totally forgot about her.

I've played with Clonie several times. She's not nearly as attractive in person. And unless she's had them redone, her boob job is pretty botched. This video clip makes her look much better than she really looks in person.

I'm glad to see Chris is back. He might be the toughest player I've ever played against (although I haven't been on a table with Ivey yet). I put a nasty beat on him in a Razz hand a few years back. He had a made 64 on 5th street and I ran out two runners for a wheel. Most players would have been irate, but it didn't phase him at all. After he busted out of the tournament, he shook all of our hands and was a pleasure to play against the entire time. He ran pretty bad that day, and in my opinion, the true character of a poker pro comes through when the deck is shoved up their ass.

Agreed. He was a really nice guy to play against at BARGE, too. Wide range of interests, little evident conceit.

I'm with Sexton here. The fact that he fought against paying sponsored players dividends says a lot, and I heard he never spent any of the money he was paid in dividends because he thought it was wrong. Maybe if HL had listened to him, FTP would still be alive and kicking today.

I understand hoe the scandal would tarnish her reputation. To be fair, unless Annie Duke had any of those funds in her account, she cannot be held partially responsible for her brother's mess.

Apart from that, Ferguson should rot.

She's being held responsible for the mismanagement of the Epic Poker League. No one holds her accountable for Full Tilt, however, I'm sure people would have a few things to say to her to pass on to her brother.

Ahh, I was not aware of this. I appreciate the heads up.

NOOOoooooo.....!!!!

I had HL not returning this year in the Prop bet challenge.

I wonder if it would be illegal to ask him - after every hand - "Are you going to repay the money you stole from me?" over, and over and over...
