Congrats! How do you like the new Air-King? I’ve had the previous version for a while and it’s in my regular rotation. I always describe it as an Explorer designed by Dali, lol.

I really love it actually. I've always been an explorer 1 guy, I just love how clean it is.

I was waiting on one (6 months because I'm small fry) and then tried the new Air-King on and fell in love with the new case shape and small fixes on the dial, compared to the old version. I also happened to try on the Panerai and loved that too. So I proposed that my rep sell me the Air King and in return I'd buy the Panerai as well.

Lucky for me I got both 5 days later. The 40mm size is my favourite part though i think over the 36mm explorer.

Congrats on the new sub. Love that one.

Cool revamp of a classic dive watch from the 60’s…the 62mas. This is unbelievably accurate for a upper mid tier Seiko

I used to have a blancpain fifty fathoms and I loved the watch and the history but at 45mm it wears smaller but still too big for my wrist. I’m now looking for a blancpain fifty fathoms mil spec which is same watch but 40mm and double the price. Not sure I can afford that

I haven't but I have two friends that have purchased via chrono with no issues.

I bought one watch from Chrono24 about a month ago with a great experience. Just purchased a Tudor Pelagos FXD on there last week from Hong Kong that I’m waiting to arrive, but so far so good.

I’m also a big fan of buying watches on eBay with their new authenticity guarantee. Have tried picking up a couple Rolexes that looked good from sellers with good feedback at too good to be true bargains and they’ve been flagged at the authenticator. Also bought two Tudors on eBay that have gone through the authentication process and that I’m very pleased with.

I’ve purchased from Watchfinders and whole-heartedly recommend them. They are owned by Richmont, so they’re legit, and they will offer a real warranty on everything they sell. For any Richmont Group brand, that is functionally a factory warranty. I purchased a boutique brand (Arnold & Son) watch from them and it came with a written warranty for three years, that specified that warranty work would be done by Arnold & Son. FYI, prices are definitely negotiable.

Can also put you in touch with one of their sales managers in their NYC office—I dealt directly with him and he had the authority to extend the two year warranty to three years and to make price concessions.

Looking at the Tudor Ranger, the Air King and the IWC Pilot... Small wrist so trying them on before purchasing has been my holdup.

Until I see them on my wrist I won't exactly know... But the Spitfire, the Le Petit Prince catch my eye. The Big Pilot would be too large.

The blue dials are interesting.

The le petit Prince is cool, but it's essentially the same as the new iwc pilot mark xx that I think Is completely replacing it, but with the old sellita based movement (42 hour power reserve), whereas the mark xx still has the blue dial, but is powered by the in-group (I won't call it in-house) valfleurier designed movement with 120 hours power reserve and has a slightly smaller case with shorter lugs.

Also, in case you aren't aware the new air king has a whole new case profile and is thinner than the old one. They are quite different.

I've been trying to track down the new Air King anywhere around here with no luck, haven't even gotten to try one on yet.

This isn’t really a watch but it’s available to order at my local JLC boutique. They say 2-4 weeks for delivery. 50lbs of baccarat crystal. Does need to be on a perfectly flat surface though. Seriously considering one for a Xmas present.

Treated myself to this gem. I owned one about 5 years ago and it was too big for my wrist but regretted selling it. So I got another. I bought a nato strap I think will go well with it. Just have to find the right size Allen wrench for the lugs
