I'm considering sending these to eBay and have absolutely no idea of a real starting price.

Help will be appreciaded.

Have 2 Racks of the $1 Oak Tree's, 1 Rack of the $ Jackpot's (Mix New & Used? and 1 Rack of the $1 Cavat (Mint)

The reason I'm asking is that the past several items I listed , been critized for selling to cheap..

Hope I'm not violating proceedures for posting this here.

Those Oak $1s are kinda scarce lately. Maybe $125+/rack? The Cavtats and Jackpots are ASM Ewings, right? Can't really make a guess at those.

You might list on here in classifieds for what you consider fair. I'm not sure on any of them for prices, but IIRC I think @DrStrange @pltrgyst or maybe @ovo may have some of the jackpots and could be interested in those and pretty sure there is demand for the oak trees as well on here. You could always list at a little higher price for a few days and drop if you need/want. Save yourself some eBay fees too

as far violating procedure pretty sure your well within your bounds;)

I've had the Ewing's for quite awile now and was looking for $25 to go with them, but no luck, so here they are.

I really just need to weed out my extra chips.

Oak Tree $1s are by far the most plentiful (and historically cheapest) of the Oak Trees - used to be they would go for $60/rack, tops. More recently I've seen a few sales in the $90 range and maybe once at $100. But I think it's been a couple months and there are more people out there who are looking for *any* casino $1s to complete their sets of Empress/GV/whatever, so they might go for more.

Russ, I'd buy one rack for $90 if you're interested. No eBay or Paypal fees. :)

I just looking for some fair pricing.

I am not going to sell at this time, I'm still looking to see if I can find

Russ, I recommend offering those chips in three different listings (and here, not eBay) -- and I'd go with an auction-style listing for each one.

#1 - two racks of Oak Tree Casino $1 Paulson RHC chips (200 total chips), starting bid $150 with minimum bid increment of $10. Run it for five days, including a weekend in the middle (THU through TUE, for example). Use the bid+5 minute process for ending the auction.

#2 - one rack of $1 Jackpot Casino $1 Ewing mold chips, starting bid $100 with minimum bid increment of $5. Same conditions as #1.

#3 - one rack of $5 Cavtat International Casino $5 Ewing mold chips, starting bid $100 with minimum bid increment of $5. Same conditions as #1.

I would expect the true value of the chips to be realized by the end of the auctions.

Great Idea, thanks I'll try that.

What is the bid+5 minute process?

Russ

What is the bid+5 minute process?
Russ
Auction closes day, .... at 7:00pm EDT and incorporates the "5 minutes after last closing bid rule".
Highest bid before 7pm will win the auction unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time. Then the closing time will be 5 min. after that last bid was posted.

For example, if someone bids at 6:55pm on next Sunday and no one bids after, then the auction ends at 7:00pm. Done!
If there is a bid at 6:58pm, then that bid is good until 7:03. And more bids can ensue until 5 minutes time has passed without a bid.

This eliminates last second sniping.
