I'm just joking around, but I agree. I bought some cools $2's, and though I never put them in starting stacks, somebody usually asks for some on a rebuy.
Heck, you should see the Avalons in play. Frac, $1, $2, $3, 5, $20, $100. Oh yeah, and the Aces with the same denoms. Oh man, I almost forgot the $100 and $500 plaques. Ahhhhhh...I love poker chips
Bummer, those are my all time favorite $100's. The extent they went through to cancel those seems extreme. Especially when there are other out there with just the starburst cancellation.
Canceled chips have been physically altered -- by a cancellation hot-stamp, or with drilled holes or notched cut-outs -- which serve notice that the chips are no longer valid casino currency.
