I know they won't be most people's cup of tea (black inlays, oversized inlays, busy edge spot for 25c), but I like them. My crew are micro stakes so wanted the 25c and $1 chips to be designs I loved as they would be used the most.

And also hard to see in the proof, but the black inlay has like a European scroll (FDL like) in the black area which is on theme with my table and the FDL mold.

I think they look stunning! Especially like the frac, $1 and $25. But why not go with actual shaped inlays?

Good question. Cost was a big factor (yes, already expensive but bang for extra buck was the consideration). And I was using Jack Cinci and Paradise Los Angeles sets for inspiration which took the faux shaped approach and I just stayed with it...prob made the decision early on in the process and never revisited it...

Rack of A-Mold commemorative chips for my first meetup in October. Got proofs last week. Can’t wait to get these and see how the color matching worked out - J5 is the best.

looks great to me! Also focusing on making workhorse chips the best in my design. But with a new poker group, haven't figured out what those are you.
Curious how microstakes work incorporating the 5c denom. Is that 5c/10c blinds?

With a 5c chip as your lowest, you can do 5c/5c, 5c/10c and any larger blinds. Depends on your preference. Making the BB the same as the SB does change the game a bit as it encourages the SB to play more hands because he doesn't have to put in any more money to see the flop if noone raises.

Yeah, I'm targetting 5c/10c or 10c/25c stakes for my game. Keeps the swings manageable for my crew.

I saw @JFG just posting a DieCar proof.
Few days ago it was also requested to confirm my stamp foil color.

Wait...is DIECAR going in after FDL? I didn't know it was running again. And then MD-50 (DSQ) after that?
CPC has at least two presses, so they might be running on different machines.

I ordered my chips about two months ago, and at the time David at CPC gave me a five month estimate. This makes me think DieCard is running in May / June.

I think one of the two presses is always the A-mold, no?

The last estimate I heard was that DSQ was going to start in June but I heard that second hand

I think there's 3 (or at least 3 moulds can run simultaneously). Here David talks about two moulds and their successors:

DSQ and 44mm are in right now and will be for a good while.
44mm will probably be the first of those out, replaced by FDL.
Elephant & Crown will replace DSQ (only a small run) and then the Small & Large crowns.

Later in the thread he confirms that A mould is always installed:

It's always installed, not always running though, that would be physically impossible.
