It smelled good…Vividly.
Also remember making my dad drive me to the skate shop to buy "sex wax" even though I had no idea how to use it on my skateboard. Lol I think I rubbed it on my wheels.

Whoah, I didn't realize they finally have an official release on DVD! Looks like I'm making my way to Amazon.Pulled these out after reading this thread. With the RAD the DVD it is not an official release as for years the rights to the movie were in limbo and no one could get them to produce the movie. So all you could get is unofficial releases on Amazon or eBay. During the pandemic the rights were finally obtained to Rad and the movie is now easy to get. The one Blu-Ray I opened and watched and the Steel Book is still wrapped. Quicksilver with Kevin Bacon has more road bikes in it, but a lot of Pro BMX Freestyle riders did stunts in the movie so it was mentioned in the Mags in the 80s. And you don't need to say much about the AUSSIE Movie BMX Bandits other than it was pretty cool and one of Nicole Kidman's first movies. The Gleaming the Cube is a really crappy recording of the movie.
This one might just be me…The Dirt Bike Kid. Same dude from the Christmas story….Whoah, I didn't realize they finally have an official release on DVD! Looks like I'm making my way to Amazon.
When I was working at Facebook HQ my co-producer was from Australia. We would ride the campus bikes around and I joked that we were the BMX Bandits one day and she almost lost it that I knew the movie ha!Pulled these out after reading this thread. what an unappreciated treasureYes…and Gleaming the Cube.
And Prayer of the Rollerboys was Corey Haim's.Gleaming the Cube was Christian Slater’s crowning achievement…mostly. And my minivan hates it when I find a spiral ramped parking garage….I give her the dinnah!
This pic is from the dragon (us 129)…my fleet admin filed a complaint against me bc my tires were “aggressively over-used”…
Holy crap…I went to Oakton elementary. Fairfax Skate shop was the first place I bought a deck…what an unappreciated treasure
Assuming you meant the surf shop?Holy crap…I went to Oakton elementary. Fairfax Skate shop was the first place I bought a deck…
Back to tiger chips?
Yes….it’s been 30 years. Is it still there?!?!?Assuming you meant the surf shop?
it is not there but it still exists in a different location with the same kind of 'vibe' Not quite the same without the soccer shop in the atticYes….it’s been 30 years. Is it still there?!?!?
Yeah it does! Obviously my go to on a surfboard, but it’s my hockey stick wax too. By far the best smelling thing in that bag…It smelled good…
Can’t get that done out of my head now.
Can’t get that done out of my head now.
And I call BS. What 80’s film-based principal wouldn’t have broken that up in 10 seconds?
