The person that @creepychips was responding to is in California. But you are correct that no one has to go through Justin. Unless they want any of Justin's proprietary designs. There is no point for me ( or for any other European) to order through group buys since i dont live in the States i live in Europe. Tina is obviously a Chinese manufacturer and the easiest thing for me would be to talk directly to this manufacturer in order to buy goods and having send them to me directly to Europe... Ok i would not have the bargaining power /economies of scale that group buys have but getting the chips cheaper and then having to pay 100 or more usd to ship them to Europe will end up being much more costly for me and in general for all of us Europeans...
FYI for a point of clarity. Justin is a vendor. So technically his sales are not Group Buys. I see a lot of people here calling them GBs, and that is not correct. A GB is a buy run by a volunteer PCF member for a group of PCF members at cost. As a vendor, Justin is free to make a profit on his sales, and rightly so, as he has put in a lot of groundwork, and his sales run smoothly and efficiently. If you choose to go directly to Tina for your buy, I suspect you may save a little money, but you will have to do all the work yourself. For most who are making a small buy, that small savings not going to be worth the effort.
