I played with my Mirage replica set yesterday in a tournament I hosted, and I was very impressed with the feel and playability of the Tina's. For the price, they are really hard to be.

They will never replicate CPC or Paulson, but for someone getting into the hobby, or looking to build a massive tournament set and not break the bank, they are a great choice.

this can only make sense IF all clay chips were the same which they are not. This also applies to injected mold plastics.

Please dont take this as snobbery or condescending but by your own admission you are speaking from the perspective of a beginner, which is most likely why we have vastly differing opinions. However for the purposes of educating other beginners it should be highlighted that people who wouldn't be considered beginner's disagree with your assessment. There is alot more nuance that you aren't considering.

Eg, nuances between molds (within each types of construction type), different weights, leaded vs unleaded, inlay shapes, condition, etc are all part of the fabric of why this hobby exists in the first place.

Sure at the end we can lump them all in one category and say all round discs are all like each other but that would be missing the point entirely.

Those are deceptively close to the real thing. Really sad to see because it will make the already tough task of entering this hobby and buying chips for fair prices even tougher. I think we will see at least a few people get duped by these chips no question. Sucks though I always tell my family and friends to never buy anything poker related for me since I am concerned they would get scammed.
 
Those faux Paulsons made my heart sink. The possibility of eBay selling gobs of "Paulson" chips has just skyrocketed. 32¢/chip in and $3/chip out? How about a THC mold instead, and see how many Big Tops / Boat Chips / Princess / Cocaine Giraffes / etc can get sold (at 25x per chip profit) before the seller disappears?
 
How's Tina to work with? Do you get any preview pics and possibility to make some adjustments?

The only time I've order at her, she was very picky and only allowed one prototype based on the provided design with followed by one adjustement. I think more prototypes would have been possible but they would have been charged. Luckily, one adjustment was enough for me.

Maybe things have changed since then and others had a better experience.

I used to own two sunfly hybrids , 39mm and 43mm.
I bought my first set in 2019 probably 2020, they are 39mm.
They all feeling fine, shuffel , sounds~~ not bad. but their disgusting black color blew me away, and I sold them.
At this time, I think sunfly is a good chip except for the color

A while back I wanted to own some 43mm chips, and buying sunfly again, I thought after a few years their workmanship would improve.
But to my disappointment, still a disgusting black. (or could be grey).
Chips feel like this.

BRPro chips also don’t have square edges, but hasn’t really bothered me much. Never found a real need for them to stand on edge.

Regarding rounded edges, since they are ceramic and that they don't wear like clays, I prefer rounded edges over sharp edges. But this is just a matter of preference.
