Starting a thread as these might get good. Day 1 was today, sounds like 7 days is the plan. My day 1 review:

Lineup (B+): lots of exceptionally strong players, but not much as far as personality coming through in this one. Very, very good poker with decent action.

Stakes/format (A): nosebleed blinds but not near as deep as the pokergo/hustler games provides for better action.

Stream (A++): great commentary with Ali Nejad and Nanonoko. Every hour or so they stuck in a “mystery hand” in a big HU pot which hides one opponents cards and you get to participate in a fun nosebleed stake PAHWM with the commentators.

Chips (D-): the chip stack sizes are good, but the chips themselves are the triton nondenom ceramics they take everywhere. They are as meh as it gets. Massive step back from the Bond style bands of plaques from a few years back at the same place, back when they used house chips. Just use the house casino chips. Ugh.

Overall (A): worth a watch.

Watched the stream yesterday too. The hole setting, table, room, lightning, clock, the view through the windows at the bay, everything is realy looking top notch. But the chips :vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:

While the commentators are good there is very little table talk. Wondering why Dwan and Peter isn't attending.

Based on the intro Phil Ivey, Jungleman and Tony G will attend.

Maybe Handz is playing again as he is not a pro.

What totally is confusing me is the rapid change of the players seating. Why??

I am watching at the moment at around the 3hr mark and I got to say I am liking the “mystery hand” feature.

Im going to try to be diligent and not post any spoilers of any mystery hands. Hope they continue sprinkling those in all week. Lock in, we got a fun PAHWM like you would find here or on CrushLivePoker call in show. And you get all the table info and physical reads right there. They did a pretty fantastic job selecting them, interesting hands, sometimes they have it sometimes they don’t. And you always get the reveal because it’s RFID. Fun fun fun

Agreed the room setting gives serious future decoration inspirations/dreams.

Table is a bit weird with the "track race" for the time chips.

Surprised they don't have custom ceramics.

It been a feature of Triton Cash game where they usually change the seating after each break, it does create different dynamics, and I think it a good feature
I see.

Maybe something we should try at our next Homegame. We don't have breaks. But maybe switch seats every 3 hours. What do you think?

So nobody standing up and ripping their mic off, throwing it on the table and then storming off?
Not to defend Hellmuth, because he is a child, but that guy seemed like a genuine jerk.
It was okay that time Persson targeted Hellmuth in the heads-up tournament, because they were heads-up. But when you target a single player like that at a full ring, you just make it uncomfortable for everybody.

I don’t see why not, just give a try but maybe just trial one seat change per session first rather than the multi seat change that Triton is doing at the moment

Does the equity calculation in the tiny font below each hand drive anyone else insane? It’ll say shit for someone freerolling a flush draw like “18% win + 82% tie = 100% equity”

It’s been that way forever. How is it not fixed yet

Edit: the calc is only there if there is potential to chop the pot. If you don’t see it wait a hand.

I’ll have to check it out. The televised WSOP action is rarely interesting or impressive—surprisingly ABC and formulaic. The only real excitement comes from coolers and suckouts. Would be good to see some top pros really battling, making some creative moves and amazing bluffs / calls.

One of those hands when they are still talking about it in the booth for another half hour

Just caught up to a few hands, interesting that Elton snap folds a pretty good bluffcatcher vs a triple barrel by Handz on that board texture.. To be fair Handz has always shown the goods at showdown but we as the audience can see that he does have an overbet bluffing range.

So Far

Day 1 - Great watch 7/10
Day 2 - Boring 1st half, only get interesting at last sector 4/10
Day 3 - For me the best of the 3 yet, 8/10

I haven started Day 4 and I must say I am most impressed by Andy so far, a lot of his plays are very spot on and he always play aggressively at the right timing too.

Like his Q high bluff catcher and a couple All in bluff really showed his ability

I’m confused why is day 5 at night when it’s still light

Is it from a while back?

The stream is streamed on 4 days delay as you can see on day 5 the player are watching day 1 stream on their phone
ah! This is why they had weird dates on the triton website (Aug 1 to Aug 7). 4 DAYS delay. Thanks! I wonder if today goes until morning? Or perhaps a short day?

And again, thanks!!

My guess is some of the players are tired after playing high stake poker for days that Paul & Co decided to sleep late and thus start recording late ?

I just finish Day 4 and it’s the best day for me so far, had great hope for Adrian Mateos as he such a beast in tourney but never seem him play in Cash and I am disappointed.

Day 4 - 9/10

Time to grind Day 5 now …
