Following up on this thread…. I don’t know anything about BBO tables, but got an offer on a BBO Rockwell locally for $700 — does that seem like a good deal for vg condition? Maybe @TheRealTeddyKGB or @Goldfish

Hells yes. I can’t imagine somebody selling that, new, for even double that.

Generally speaking, I think that is a very good deal for a BBO table in very good condition. That table is like $2900 new. The felt insert is really easy to change out if you want a custom Chanman felt. You just have to decide if you 1) are okay with the size (that table looks on the small side -84’ x 44’ maybe) and 2) are okay with a race track - they look nice but they can be hard on chips.

My guess is that if you ever needed to get rid of it you would not lose too much, if any, money.

BBO website suggests it’s 93 x 45. People can decide for themselves whether that’s spacious for ten players. I’m comfortable with 8 players on a 66 x 44, so it seems huge to me.
I’m curious about the racetrack though. I hate racetracks, just because it’s much easier for me to shuffle chips on a padded felt than on a hard surface. But do you think it’s rough on chips? I guess it depends on how hard the wood is. I would have guessed that it’s more likely that clay chips dent a wood surface, than the wood surface damaging the clay chips.

Generally speaking, hard surfaces are the enemy of chips. People bang and shuffle the chips against the wood all night long. That is hard on chips, especially over time. Race tracks also invite drinks close to the playing surface which can be a problem. With all that said, I actually like the look of a race track and the felt is really easy to pop out and change. For $700 thou, I would live with it. Just get a custom Chanman felt and your good to go.

I have a Gorilla illuminati table. it’s well built, but I will say their communication through the building process is really spotty at best. Cards don’t slide easy on their custom felt, and the black ink on the felt is not very black. I love the shape of the table but if I were to do it again I wouldn’t go with Gorilla again.

If you go GG, re-felt it yourself. There’s are shit and don’t last.
I'd like to know when you got your table from us? We have had improvements in 2022 and have won a lot of casino bids in the past 2 years because our cloths outlast the competitors in the casino world.

Welp, got sniped on this. this table has been available for weeks, and someone bought this mere hours before I was supposed to come pickup. Oh well
Oh that blows...& for whatever reason I never noticed your tag from before, sorry. You didn't want that table anyway!!! (Jk)

I bought the X2 Mini by BBO a couple years ago and the only complaint I have is the default rail gets uncomfortable after playing for a few hours. It could just be me though as none of the other players have said anything.

My game has outgrown my 8 person table so I am looking at a new table. Does anyone have any feelings or opinions on the feeling of the rail on some of these other tables? I am looking at the Gorilla Illuminati Full, BBO Elite Alpha or maybe a Rockwell or UPT Classic, and I am checking into the K&G tables but really any thoughts on the subject are appreciated.

GG rail is nothing amazing. Comfortable enough. Minimal height.

I could be wrong but my Elite Alpha rail looks extremely similar to that one. I like it & think it's comfy. My players have never complained about it but they are also smart enough to know if they did they wouldn't be invited back!!

I hear Gorilla was giving a hard time to another forum builder about USB ports I think? Anywho, thats enough to dissuade me. I had my table done from K and J. Keith is a great dude.

I like the rail on my GG Illuminati. I think it's pretty comfortable. Never heard any complaints about it from my players.

Would Triton be the go2 for the most portable and space-efficient?

Don't have a dedicated space in the basement so would need to fold'em up every time we play.

I'd like to see what kind of pillow rail you're comparing that to. I don't know if I'd call my gorilla table's rail amazing, but I've leaned on it for 6-8 hours at a stretch and never given it a second thought, so I guess that means its doing its job. Aw screw it, I think it's amazing!!

Hey guys I wanted to get some advice about which poker table I should buy. I was really looking at the Rockwell Bbo dining chair set . Also, I was looking at Gorilla gaming on their website too as I see it was highly recommended. I was looking for this https://gorillagaming.net/?product=illuminati-dealer.

I want to give some background as to what this is for. 2 year ago I was talking to my wife about getting one of these tables for family game night. I wanted to have a really nice table that stood the test of time. I bought a K&J table before and it wasn't the best. I had to return it and I dealt with a lot of headaches. I dont want to repeat the same mistake. This is why I joined this forum. If you guys could please give advice to a newbie in the poker table world. That would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
Hello. This is Keith with K&J poker tables. I've been in business for 20 years and HAVE NEVER had table returned with headaches. I communicate very well and stand by my tables 1000 percent. Please let me know what table this was and when it happened. But if this was the case I would be glad to discuss your issues. Again I've never had a return on a custom table ever

Welcome to the forum, Keith! Glad we have another table vendor here, that’s fantastic

I just posted this in another thread, but K&J builds a very nice table. My friend’s table is very nice and has held up very well through the years and a lot of play…..carbon fiber race track is a very nice look (notwithstanding it is hard on chips).
