Looks like an interested alternative to poker plaques?
Anyone have anymore info about these?

Truth be told, i thought it would be pretty cool to use these as rebuys in cash games.

Too thin, for me. Real plaques and chips are thicker for a reason - so you can see how many in a pile, and you can match piles for counting and calling.
