Is it appropriate to ask for help on chip values here? If yes, I will post exactly what I have.

It's a Paulson cash set that I would like to sell in order to fund another purchase.

Thanks

Input on value is certainly appreciated.....(quantities below)

cash set 031318.jpg

2 racks of the blue "President" Paulson chips that go with the pink 50 cent President
2 racks of the pink President 50c
3 racks $1 Ballys
3 racks $5 Silver Palace
1 barrel of $100's Empress
1 barrel of $100's Ambassador Plaza
1 barrel of $100's Casino De Mexico
1 barrel of $500's Rounders Scroll

Sweet chips...... I'd recommend selling them seperatley and not as a set.

Alot of the chips are pretty desirable, but someone will likely not want to buy all of them for the chips they want.

Empress 100s secondary probably 4-5 each depending on condition

Empress 100s primary 3-4

Pca .50 fracs 2-3 each depending on condition

Casino De Mexico 2 - 2.50 ish

Silver palace 2.50 to 3, not sure but seems reasonable lol

Ambassador plaza I'm thinking 4-5 each, but not sure

Also not really sure about the rounders and the .25z

Best way I've found to place value on something is to look it up in the classifieds here, and look it up on eBay and see what they have sold for recently.

If the chips arnt super rare you can usually get a pretty good idea.

Absolutely.... but I need to sell them all. Part of the set doesn't do me any good

Agreed

ok - In line with my thoughts. Thanks

Empress 100s primary 3-4
Thanks - wasn't sure really

Pca .50 fracs 2-3 each depending on condition
I'm not an expert on condition. I'll just provide lots of pron. Thanks

Casino De Mexico 2 - 2.50 ish
Yep - my thoughts as well

Silver palace 2.50 to 3, not sure but seems reasonable lol
These are in great shape and hard to get in quantity. These took me a while. Thanks for the feedback

Yeah - another one I am unsure about.

Also not really sure about the rounders and the .25
These .25's are basically never for sale. I think they are an unknown, yet very desirable. Rounders are like 1.50-2.00 ish

Thanks for your input!

I'd agree with the above assessment as estimates on the high side for mint/near-mint condition. Less for used chips.

A lot depends on which buyer(s) need which chips.

I think that might be a bit ambitious. I watched these chips for a while, almost bought them a couple of times, but ended up going with golden eagles - a VERY similar chip.
The advantages to these chips are clear - leaded paulsons, shapes inlays, and usually almost mint.
The disadvantages are that they’re orphans - there aren’t full sets out there (at least not that I’ve seen) so the demand is reduced, because nobody NEEDS them to complete their set.
I’m of the opinion that any mintish leaded THC Paulson is worth $250-$300 per rack. But these chips seem to be a bargain, routinely selling for $200 per rack or less. So I’d recommend not selling them if you don’t need to, because you’re not likely to get what I think they’re worth.

I feel more comfortable ballparking racks as opposed to barrels as IMO, there's more variance in barrel pricing. My estimates are pretty similar to some of the above:

2 racks of the blue "President" Paulson - Between $2 and $3, demand on those vary
2 racks of the pink President 50c - Used$2/$2.50, mint $3/$3.50
3 racks $1 Ballys - $2 if in great shape, almost mint (got a few racks at that price not too long ago)
3 racks $5 Silver Palace - $2.5/$3 as people have said

Took some pics for condition rating and more feedback.

-The 25c are close to mint

-The 50c are used. I had took the best 200 from 300 that I bought

- The $1 are very nice. Only used on my table. See pics

- The $5 are better than very nice.
