Upcoming molds......... (16 Viewers)

I thought if the CSQ mold was gonna be running for a while that I might be able to get it in on the end or something, but no dice
I hope I didn't open a can of worms.

Last time I had asked him he had also said it was too late (12-15 months) for the current run, and I was fully expecting that when I placed my order today (I requested an eleventh hour mold change from Lcrown to CSQ). He did say "low chance," so I'm not counting on it.

Hey gang... I had ordered a case of 39mm coin capsules for chips off of eBay and they work great for Paulsons and my cards mold but apparently my CPCs are too large. I have used these same ones for CPC Scrown and they fit, but not CSQ. Can anyone recommend an option for some that definitely fit CPCs (CSQ)? Preferably Amazon so I can get them quick.

CPC chips are strange. Sometimes they'll fit sometimes they won't. I have some csqs that are in the 39 mm capsules but some won't fit. The H40s from Jps (that's who I always get mine from they ship fast) will likely fit everything. I have a bunch because I collect silver too and they're for silver eagles.

I think it's these that I have. The foam ring helps with CPC's.

These are what I have been using.

Model X - 39 per the air tite website

Interestingly enough I use your $5 as a card capper and I think I have it in an airtite without the foam ring, but I am pretty sure CPC Scrowns are notably smaller than any of the other molds.
They are, along with the lcrowns.

I found scrowns and lcrowns to be the smallest as well. Diasqr was also small, but larger than the crowns. Everything else (csq/A/HHR/jockey) was a bit larger. The difference between the crowns and (csq/A/HHR/jockey) was about 0.8-0.9mm by my measurements.

Separately, I have a theory that this contributes the most to scrown, lcrown, and diasqr weighing the least among cpc molds (depth and size of mold impressions also being another contributor). There is simply less material. You would think 0.8mm is negligible, but given how area of circles work, 39.6mm vs 38.8mm leads to 4% less clay, which is the difference between a 9.0g chip and a 9.4g chip. With CPC's being as light as they are, I think this is not negligible.

I actually was just checking and I have several Scrown and DSQ card cappers in these same capsules where my CSQs definitely do not fit.

This is undoubtedly accurate. I remember the very first T.R. Kings Scrowns I bought way back in the way, even without measuring or directly comparing them to anything, I immediately noticed they felt smaller in my hand than anything I was used to.
