Very nice job, a lot of talented individuals building their own tables. Very impressive, unfortunately woodworking isn’t a skill of mine. I did make a nice base for
a Yankee Stadium seat in my game room. I probably wasted enough material to build a garage before it was finished!

Wow! The final product looks awesome! Great score!
Reminds me of a score I made on FB marketplace a year ago. $100 for a for sturdy/needs work table that had +400 Paulson Classics locked up in the chip tray!

Was the needs work the opening of the chip tray? I really like that table!

The funniest part about it was opening the chip tray. He didn't have the key so he didn't think he could open it. Got it home fully expecting to drill out the lock but first grabbed the 2 handles and pulled. The lid was wedged on pretty well but popped up with minimal effort. The cam on the lock wasn't installed. You can actually see them in the chip tray on top of the 100s.
Thanks! Yeah...the table is pretty cool and very sturdy but still in the exact condition I bought it in. The arm rest is wrecked and the felt has stains from drink spills. Was going to replace the felt but may follow your lead and try to clean it first. I guess it can't hurt...

At that point in time the Paulson classics we’re going for $3-$3.25 per chip, so the chips were definitely worth more than the table. That table brand new couldn’t have cost more than $500. I already had two tables so the chips were really the only reason I bought it.
Sorry for the thread jack OP. I think you did way better on your deal than I did. That base is solid and makes your table a screaming deal!
