Versa birdcage, Apache case, or acrylic birdcage (3 Viewers)

The strap I pictured on the 1000 ct cage is 40" length (2" width).

I use the same length on my 400 ct cages simply because I had ordered a multi-pack of the 40" length.

I put rubber adhesive pads on the cage base so the strap can pass under and not cause rocking.

Would you mind giving more details on the rubber adhesive pads? I just bought the Velcro straps for light travel.

Thanks for the suggestion, I feel much safer transporting my chips in the bird cage now. I like the Versa bird cage with the locks but it won't fit the 43mm racks

The Versa birdcages are nice. I have 1000 and 600 versions. Very compact. But if I were you, I would buy 2 Nanuk 910s, 15 Justin racks, and call it done.

As for the foam breaking down...I've not heard of that being an issue for chips. But maybe someone has had the experience. But with ceramic chips in a closed rack (like Justins) I don't think it would be an issue. Or at least, you'd notice it before it became a big problem. And you can always replace foam.

Where did you get the 600 version? Amazon? Is the 600 sturdy? Still haven't pulled the trigger on a set of chips but don't think I will be getting 1,000.

I bought 2 versa birdcage cases, both from Amazon. One of them was from their warehouse clearance section (they now call it Amazon Resale) at a reduced price. They pop up there every once in a while, and if you don’t mind getting it in generic packaging and maybe a small ding or two, you can save a few $$.

Thanks. I only see the versa metal cube for 600. I was looking for the acrylic 600. Will check out Amazon resale.
