We have a recent thread on the best Cali $5, which made me curious - what are some of the most overall beautiful Cali sets that are at least somewhat accessible (if you squint) - those with multiple denoms that really pop? If you were in the market for a Cali cash set today, what would be on your list?
  • Honorable Mention: beautiful, but inaccessible: Tiger Palace; Vineyards
  • Honorable Mention: Amazing Private sets that will never be for sale

I know there are tens of thousands of Mirage Springs chips out there but surprisingly they're never for sale. I found PCF by looking to add on to my set and a Google search showed me there was a rack of $1's for sale here (thanks again @liftapint ). I bought that rack, and other than singles or sample sets, I haven't saw any more for sale here since and it's been 2 years. Other than @Okku @Spinettis Gaming there have been no bulk sales of them anywhere. But like I said...I know they're out there and way more than what I have.

As far as accessible and should be on the list, I highly recommend going with a CPC custom set as you can still order between now and the end of April and spec out exactly the colors/spots you want. You have some honorable mention CPC sets. Yes, it's true you can't purchase those exact sets, but you can get your own made and the quality coming out of CPC is excellent! My Cali-colored set:

There are tons of $1 & $2 out there but most of us are all looking for $5s (unicorns) to fill out our sets which never show up.

Sunset beach would be possible to buy but it could be in the realm of unobtainium for how long it would take to build a set.

Wow, beautiful set - especially love that dollar chip!
I am actively looking at how I can make that work before April, so thank you for the advice.
Thanks man, just do what we all did, make set after set after set til you find exactly what you want, or have someone help you out. Plenty of great people / threads on here for creation. Sticker shock can hit if you're not ready for it, but remember it's one of a kind and yours forever
