What are your heaviest 39mm Paulsons? (2 Viewers)

Lots of older THC fracs are heavy, depending on color -- they have more clay material without the displacement caused by the lighter inlay pressing.

It's kind of shocking that my I could just detect by a handful of chips, that these were heavier than the other THC hot stamps I'm used to (by .5g-1g apiece)
Clearly I'm a junkie.
It's amazing how precise humans can be at judging things they repeatedly experience. Early in his career Penn of Penn and Teller taught himself to count the number of cards in his hand based on weight alone. Less impressive but equally illustrative when I'm out for a run my mile pace varies between 6:30 and 9:00 depending on what I'm doing. At any given point I can almost always tell my current mile pace to within two seconds. The ironic thing is it's not my ability to judge time, which sucks.

Yup, I guess that color's heavy. The metallic gold Casino de Mexico 20k is almost a full gram heavier than the others in my sample set, at 10.3g, and I bet it would be closer to 11 if not for those big 312 edge spots.

Here's a chip that surprised me with its weight:

And here's one that's a reminder that not all old leaded paulsons are heavy. This one is almost as old as me, so it must be full of lead, but 9.6 grams? Surprising.

You sure that's a Paulson chip? LCV mold, so it could be a C&J chip made by Burt Co. depending on when it was produced (although the spots look like Paulson).

But yeah, not all Paulson color formulas are uniformly heavy, even the leaded ones.

Never thought of that. Probably produced in '79, according to the chip guide.
