Cash Game What Fixed Limit games do you play? (1 Viewer)

We play .25/.25 NLH. Think .25 ante, $1 bring-in $1/$2 would work? Might be a little too large given the standard buy-in is $25, but I doubt anyone would get too aggressive with raising.
We play .25/.25 NLHE and for limit do $1/$2., but we do a .25 ante, .50 bring-in, and $1 to complete.

Works well for us.

My favorite Mix is D-BOTS (Drawmaha, Badugi, O8, Triple Draw 2-7, Stud8)

The few times I have done this, we do cap at 8 players. (and only deal 6 players in for 2-7 Triple draw.)

We have done 2/4 limit stakes. (50¢ ante, $1 bring-in for stud.) with optional "overs" to 4/8. (Players with an "overs" button agree to play 4/8 stakes when only "overs" players are left.)

No one wants to play mixed games with me, but. . .

7 card stud (split Chicago or Sanfransisco)
Tahoe pitch and roll
5 card draw
Limit holdem
PLO

PLO is, by definition "pot limit," not fixed limit. So did you mean to say something else for the last one?

Omaha 8 and 2-7 Triple Draw are my two favorites, followed by Razz and Stud 8.

I’ll play pretty much anything limit though.

I recently bought a limit set, and this seems to be the best fixed limit thread I can find, so popping it back to life.

I have almost no limit experience, so I have questions. This is the PCF way, right? Buy chips first, then learn? :ROFLMAO:

So one thing I see promoted a lot in talk about limit is the 2 chip - 4 chip method of play. Is the point of this just to have more chips on the table, or is their a reason for this methodology over just using 1 chip - 2 chips?

I'll end this post with some pr0n - my new die-car mold non-denom fixed limit set. 200 Value Chips:

I used to play in a game where the host liked to play seven-card stud high/low if it was late and we’d moved to dealer’s choice. He liked it because he was experienced in that variant and no one else was.

I found it fun but most of the others did not care for it.

2/4 lets you play 1/2 blinds. 1/2 you're playing 0/1 or 1/1 blinds.
