Yeah, quarters for me too.

Flexibility, more chips on the table -- what everyone else has said so far. I think I was holding out on the few 50c chips I had, thinking I would dig up a use for them. But nope. I just like quarters better.

In unrelated news, my CDI and Hawaiian Gardens 50c chips are up for grabs now. :whistling:

My group usually plays .25/.50 but we are thinking about going to .50/.50. I recently purchased 200 lucky derby 1's to re-label to go with my new horseshoe Cleveland set. Will 200 .25 cent chips be enough to accommodate a .50/.50 game? Or are more chips needed?

Both .... because honestly how can we choose one or the other? (y)

I relabeled some Garden City $1 to quarters, then got a ton of the MO Aztars (even though the mold doesn't match the IN Aztars)

I voted 25c for versatility, but it's not like I would ever get them into play on a consistent basis. My poker group was a mix of people who thought nothing of dropping a couple hundred in NL, those who you could barely convince to pay $20 to play in a tournament every other month, and those in-between. Trying to get them to agree on any stakes would be impossible -- which is why we always played tournaments.

This is a no-brainer. 25c. Even if playing 50c/$1, throwing in two 25c chips for the small blind is better than one 50c because more chips is always better.

So now the Terrible's 25c relabel project begins, I guess (y)
