This may be a hard question to answer, but I have the opportunity to buy 2000 Paulson Pharaoh's. The buyer admits they were used in a private card room and they have about 1500 hours of use (and I would imagine that estimate could potentially be low...perhaps way low). The chips will obviously need to be cleaned.

So if mint pharaoh's sell for say.... $2/chip, what would be a fair price for something with 1500++ hours of cash play be?

Wish I had pics, but I don't. Just imagine plenty of dirt and grime inside tho mold.

Thanks for any thoughts,

Steve

I see an auction for 1,100 used pharaoh's that sold for about a buck per chip. These aren't likely to be in nearly as good shape but only you can say one way or the other.

I think less than $1/ chip - lets say $1,500 with light wear and maybe $1,300 casino used?

Hard to say without seeing them. If it is sight unseen for you - $1,000 and even then you might get abused.

That is nearly exactly where I was. In fact, I offered my price of .75/Chip only if split into 2 transactions of 1000 chips each. That way, if I do get ambushed, it's only half the damage. I did see pics and they looked structurally sound, just really dirty. We'll see... But thanks so much for your thoughts.

Always amazed that people would use readily available chips in cash games open to the public. Just asking for trouble.
