What's a no-go for chip nerds? (1 Viewer)

Would you play in a game with dice chips?
Yes, and still play with these from time to time.

Slugged ABS?
Yes, and still play with these from time to time.

Paper novelty cards?
This one is a tough one because cards are so easily marked.
I've gifted platic cards to the hosts who only had paper ones, explaining that they can easily be marked.

What is your non negotiable?
  • Marked cards
  • Insane structure for a tournament (ex. 10'-12' levels with blinds doubling up)
  • Game with rude players
  • Game with rules are not enforced

Good point on games with whack structures. I have played in a couple where you started off with so little and the blinds built so fast it was ridiculous. Needless to say I didn't return.

Of course, problematic people are a no-go.
But, technically speaking, I wouldn't play on a hard surface, without an elementary felt, even with the sweetest guys on Earth.
Edit: Paper decks and plastic chips have souls, too. :)
Edit2: Forgot to mention that I just can't play if I 'm not allowed to vape.
In my house, I even allow smoking, but NOT at the table, in summer, with open windows.
In winter, either on the balcony or under the kitchen respirator or whatever that is called.
:)
