I chose Missouri over Kansas for Kansas City. I'm not local to the area, but my understanding is the Missouri side is bigger and has more options. Plus, eff Kansas.
The best BBQ in the metro is on the Kansas side (Joe's)
In the words of Anthony Bourdain "It's the best barbecue in Kansas City, which makes it the best barbecue in the world."
I don't know which state has the best BBQ, but I'm working my way through all of it and I'll let you know once I've finished.
This!Personally while I enjoy ribs Id rather do either brisket or pulled pork. Unfortunately I'm pretty much split on my love for the two.
Tx wins for brisket and give me a NC vin based sauce on pulled pork all day long
You don't have to disown the Pats to be my friend. I'm friends with many unhinged Patriots fans already. I'm even friends with some idiot Steelers fans.

There is a way to get the BBQ from Franklin BBQ. I am thinking of doing here very soon. When are you in Austin anyway?I don't know yet. Every time I get in the line for Franklin Barbecue, they sell out three or four people ahead of me. Dammit.
