Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (13 Viewers)

Great collection!

Massively jealous that you have the chance to jump into chipping head first, but it gives us low budget chippers a dream to dream ;)

Continuing along my chipping journey, one of the first big sets that I bought was the BTP tourney set. While I love the chips themselves, I’m not a huge fan of the inlays. They’ve been earmarked for a large relabeling project by @Gear. These will become my primary “custom” tourney set until a better option comes along.

What I dont understand, a better set?!

What are you referring to? The BTPs? Yeah, I’m really liking the feel of vintage, leaded chips, so trying to see if I can put together a large enough custom mixed tournament set. Super early in the hunt, though. Need to find enough of the larger denoms, and right now Binions WSOP seems to be the only true option. But I don’t know anything yet, so that last statement might be completely off.

Everyone's taste is different, but I happen to like th BTP inlay design. Good stuff. Good luck with the relabeling project. It will surely become an awesome personal set.
I agree that the inlay is very good. But I don't think it necessarily deserves to be on a Paulson casino mold. It would be perfect for a CPC mold (Elephant & Crown or others) or even a sunfly hybrid and be a smashing set. @Windwalker could better BTP. We'll see if he does.

I prefer the secondary $25, but other than that you have another incredible set right there!
The watermelon secondary $25 is definitely one of the prettiest chips out there IMO and a much better standalone chip than the primary, but when combined with the $100P and $500P, as well as those blazing $1kS, it's just a lot to take in visually. Not even getting into dirty stack issues, my eyes need a rest. The subtle, calming green of the primary $25 does its job well... to highlight the beauty of the other denoms by taking a back seat. For that reason, I recommend having BOTH!

I've heard many here claim this, but I just don't agree. I don't mind that all the chips in a set glow. Actually I prefer it. It's like with the coke giraffes. Would they be better if the $5 chip was a more muted color just because the $1 is so bright? It makes no sense to me, lol. And I had no dirty stack issues in my jack set with sec $25, prim $100. Anyways, to each their own, and the primary $25 is also a good chip, just a tad boring compared to the secondary, that's all.
