Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (10 Viewers)

I ended up letting a buddy use my high-denom Jack chipset for his home game, so this is my new big game lineup.

No 500$ ?

No 500$ ?
I thought that too, because it looks weird after playing tourneys to skip the 500, but if you watch the LatB and Hustler high stakes streams, the 500 is a redundant chip. They use $25s for the blinds, and $100 $1k and $5k chips mostly (and I suppose $5 chips for tipping).

Are buy ins for such a game done before hand via wire or crypto transfer? That's a lot of cash to have around!

How do you guys make sure one actually pays? Is there a trusted middle man or is all of this done by the host?

There’s no cash, ever. Most of these games are done on credit and post game settlement. New players need a “hard vouch” from an existing player, which means if they don’t pay, the voucher has to cover it. Sometimes, we get international players, usually online poker players from Russia, Poland or some place similar, and most hosts require they post up front using wire or crypto.

No, it’s a chip that gets very little use in the cash games here. It’s a “nuisance” chip. Most raises are so frequent and high, it’s easiest to use the $1ks post the hundos.
Makes sense. Thinking about it in terms of $1/2 - if I had $5s and $10s in front of me, how often would I be reaching for the $5s?

A bunch of people have asked me about the inlay. I spent a lot of time in Aspen this winter, and was inspired a popular store there called Kemosabe, which sells western hats and cool accessories. It’s quite the bougie hotspot for non-western types from LA and NY to go buy pretentious hats that they then promptly wear to apres ski in Aspen. Makes Aspen look like a weird music festival in the evenings.

This is a little bit of a “dig” / tribute to that culture.

Kemosabe is cool as f@ck.

Did you checkout the Madhappy pop up store in Aspen? Some of the best hoodies and sweats ever @Windwalker

Need to add a $100k chip to this. Any suggestions? I’m not wedded to any color. The sacrilegious thought was the 8d18 T25k from the ACF set, but I can’t bring myself to do that. Just need a different color, complex spot pattern, THC, unleaded.

Something blaze orange? Jack Detroit $1k comes to mind.

Or a grey chip, like the Jack Detroit $5k, but I feel like a bright colour would fit this lineup better.

Capitol City $5 might be cool, but I think that is a dupe spot pattern. Blue Hyattsville $1 might look nice but I think orange is the right selection. At the risk of incurring the wrath of @buffalojim, maybe...

Blaze base was my first thought as well
