Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (11 Viewers)

Hot stamps are like TRK in a sense. People often message me asking for help to build a hot stamp set, but most don't realize how limited the options really are. You have to make compromises like different style stamps otherwise you will likely never be able to put together a set.
Hi John. Please help me build a vibrant hotstamp set. Note: I'm also poor.

Just listed a complete ACF sample set at auction.

One of the hardest things to do in set creation is finding enough hotstamps to make a cohesive set. Either the colors are off, the spots don’t match, the conditions are different, or it’s impossible to get to the right progression.

One of my long term projects has been to create a non-Cali playable set of minty hotstamps, and I’ve searched far and wide for things that will fit the bill.

It’s almost impossible to find chips where the spot progression is great, so I’ve settled for a progression that feels like a family. I’ve also decided to use a $1 that’s completely out of the norm, but so far, this is what I’ve come up with.

The $25 feels out of place to me, though they're all amazing. The colors feel darker and the $1 is already green.

I was just about to the type the exact same thing. The spot pattern for that chip also doesn’t really fit. It’s a beautiful chip on its own (they all are). But the $25 is the weakest link IMHO.

I’m usually not much of a spot progression guy, but the bouncing back and forth with them seems to screw with my OCD. Cali Grands are incredible.

Yeah, that too but to Krish's point it's so hard getting colors, spots, etc for a hot stamp set. I'd be willing to overlook the spots for the right chip which is why I didn't mention that part. But, yeah.

If that were the only issue, I wouldn’t have mentioned it at all. But it adds to the issues you identify.

Hey Krish, its been a while and I hope you are doing well. I felt compelled to login and comment in your thread lol.

I like a lot of your sets, particularly your nagb mockups, which I hope you were able to get made.

And I like all of these chips individually, but if I had to demonstrate how I feel about them together I think this best summarises my thoughts.

I'd probably ditch that awesome, but overpowering frac and the $25.

If CPC hotstamped HCE, either crown, or DIASQR, I’d have 3 hotstamp sets.
DIASQR stamps like a dream, but there are minor issues with some concave faces.

HCE stamps nice but needs scraping after.

Never tried to stamp LC, but SC was brutal and not worth it IMHO - too much waste.

Find a third party stamper and they can make your dream come true.

Would love if there was one currently...

Too late. :( I was hoping a certain Alaskan would make this into a business like that dude from Boise, but alas, not to be.
