Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (8 Viewers)

That s a hell of a bad beat. I wonder why he was so aggressive on the turn by raising $250? With full Ks i would have though he wouldn't want to scare you off
He wasn’t a super sophisticated player, this being the 2/5 table. He just got super lucky on the river. I suspect he was excited when he bet.

OR

If he WERE a sophisticated player: He figures that if I don’t have a 7 (given that me having a King is unlikely), the hand is kinda dead anyway. Given my smooth call and my position (and my penchant for playing suited connectors from late positions) he could possibly put me on a 7, and if I called or raised an aggressive bet, that would confirm it.

Either explanation is plausible, I guess.

Honestly, it sounds like just bad play. In his mind nothing beats trip kings.

My first theory of him being an unsophisticated player is the more plausible explanation, given that he ran hooting snd hollering all around the table when he spiked the case King. :-)

Either way, I don’t think either of us were getting away from our respective hands. It’s how the cards fall sometimes.

Bad play? He flopped a boat. The end goal is to ship it and play for stacks. I'm never folding kings full with that board.

Overbeating pots for value is a good play, maybe he knew what he was doing or maybe not lol.

He's trying to get max value out of his awesome hand. Remember the likelihood of @Windwalker having quads is very small. He wants to get paid of by a smaller full house or simply a 7 that can't find a fold. Betting hard on your strong hands is almost never a mistake. Slow playing and not getting full value is worse.

Hmmm.o_O  :ROFLMAO:

I sure do enjoy it when you post these games from the Wynn. What a brutal beat, not sure how get gets away from a flopped boat, I’d be shipping it myself but man that’s just a brutal beat. I can’t believe how unimaginative the Wynn chips are, back to the Aria!!!! Good luck bud

I have been looking for a $500 chip for my LCO set to play bigger, and I think I finally found it.

@JeepologyOffroad cleaned and milled these Casino Royale GHS hundos that were pretty worn, and @Gear is making the labels. Here’s a mock-up of how it looks in a splash pot picture.

I would want to see what a faux shape with yellow tinted background label look like.
@Gear’s advice was that peach was one the colors that’s hard to match for faux shapes, and they often looks really mismatched. I debated the yellow, but only the $100 seems to have it. Good idea tho, might try to see what that looks like.

I didn't think about issues with color matching... To get close, he'd probably need a chip. Either way, that chip looks great with the others.

peach was one of the colors that’s hard to match

Technically, Peach (and any other color from the Paulson fluorescent palette) is not just "hard" to match -- it's literally impossible to match. It cannot be done with CMYK inks.

Also, the yellow background on the $100 is not a tint, but rather a yellow honeycomb pattern, which is basically a security feature. It's difficult (but not impossible! :D ) to print, which is the point of a security feature... however, I don't even attempt to print security features, since that is on the wrong side of the line between "replica" and "counterfeit".

So if Bruce Wayne, as the earlier batman member, is Christian Bale. Does that make you the guy from twilight? :ROFLMAO:
I have to say, casing Robert Pattinson as Batman has to be one of the most boneheaded casting moves in all of super hero castings, second only to the casting of Val Kilmer as Batman. Maybe they decided that he needed to be a brooder, and Pattinson is always, at least, brooding.

That said, if @BruceWayne was Bale, that would technically make me Affleck :)

I suppose you don't like bat-nipples, or bat-credit cards either...

Lol it does seem an odd choice. Maybe he will work out though, who knows.

I'm not a fan of Batman, so I haven't watched any since the bale ones, which admittedly were awesome. Does Affleck even count? Didn't he just do those silly marvel wannabe movies? I think I'd rather be Twilight guy than Affleck lol

Preach. I didn't even know who this Pattison guy was and I searched his name and he's some pasty ass vampire looking dude. He's a Robin, at best.

The Nolan movies stand on their own because they’re individual pieces of art, deep character studies that fulfill the potential comics represent — a viable, rich storytelling platform with nuanced characters and storylines. There’s a specific reason Nolan picked Batman. He’s one of the only popular DC superheroes that is actually human. Marvel is filled with flawed humans who receive their powers through some act (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk) or mutation. DC is filled with god-like aliens who have deal with humans (Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman).

It’s not as much fun writing flaws into gods. So, they turn gods into brooders (death of Superman, Man of Steel, etc). Which is more bummer than good.

I’m being super general here, maybe to a fault, but it’s to make a point. Batman appeals to us when his underlying motives and intent are revealed as feelings we recognize. He doesn’t work when he’s just a gruff voice trying to be a superhero. Which is why Affleck is forgettable.

The only thing that annoyed me about the Bale Batman was his Batman voice... awful, IMO.

By the way, this dichotomy of character groups (DC vs Marvel) isn’t the only place where it’s happened in popular culture.

“Looney Tunes”, even the name, was originally conceived as the subversive, adult response to “Merry Melodies” from Disney.

While Mickey, Donald and others skated sickly sweet waters, the original intent of the Looney Tunes cast, Bugs especially, was to turn a subversive mirror to culture itself. It was intended as the South Park of its day. Over the years, Warner Bros lost all of those original characteristics that made it so culturally funny and cool, and left it as just slapstick and funny for kids.

Watch some of the original Looney Tunes with that eye, and you’ll see the difference from what they put out now.

There was a lot of disagreement when Heath was cast as the joker and Daniel Craig as 007 until their films came out... I have faith in Matt Reeves casting of Pattinson. Besides the twilite film, he’s a very impressive actor.

edit:
Some more recent Pattinson recommendations: Tenet, The Lighthouse, The King,

I forgot about water for elephants. I thought he was decent in that.

Plus there are some funny videos on YouTube where he takes the complete piss out of that series, and says how much he hated them. My wife made me watch them all, and my god are the dreadful.
