Did you remove the old foam/felt or just install above the old one?

removed the felt. There is no foam under the original felt. If you end up doing this, ADD FOAM!! It makes peaking cards and playing with chips much more enjoyable

foam and speed cloth from Amazon for $29. Will make a nice table for heads up and those smaller 4/5 player nights. 6 would probably be pushing it.

Awesome, I just picked up this same table and I am planning the same build. I was just wondering if the MDF was too thin, but I appreciate the feedback.

Yep, stapled foam and cloth to the board. I also used a light amount of spray adhesive between the speedcloth and the foam so that the speedcloth didn't lift at all

Awesome, I will follow suit with the spray adhesive and hopefully I will remember to take some pictures of the build.
