Maybe I'll grab some roulette chips to use as fracs. Hmmm what color.... grey and orange seem like the only choices since the $1 is yellow.

Orange!

I hope you didn't pay $6-$10 per chip :wideeyed:

I initially was just going to get some $1s to re-label but after I saw them in person, I just couldn't. Then I wanted a playable set. :banghead:

LOL Nah, that is single chip pricing.

I've checked out Spinettis inventory and sometimes have been curious what kind of discount they give for orders in QTY (to make playable sets).

Would you mind sharing what range of price/chip you paid? I understand every chip is going to be different based on rarity and such. Just trying to establish a rough percentage or something. If not, no worries.

It was multiple small orders. I kept adding on and I got some other items too. Best to just PM him or get in chat on his website and tell him the QTY you are looking for. QTY is low on the $25s and $100s so those will be more.

Love Bud Jones S-line chips. Are these the lighter or heavier ones?

Weighted. I prefer the unweighted S2s since I already have a V7 set.

Growing up in west Baltimore....I get it.

As someone with 3 CCWs, I am always “prepared” when in Delaware. I’ve even met Joe Biden 3 separate times while lawfully carrying. Once while he was sitting VP.
Also in The First State. (Joe sat next to the wife at church last week.)

But about the chips...

Wow! Beautiful!

Love the s2 bjs but the super light roulette chips sux...I'd go with relabeling a s2 bj for the frac. Congrats on the set.

Have to agree you probably won't like the lightweight suit mold chips. Use a real S2 for the frac.

But in the meantime (cause I know you are going to anyway) go with the grey. ;)

Lakeshore $1s relabeled would make a good frac. Can @Gear match the foil in the inlay?

I can send you a half barrel to check out if you are interested.

"To have been located at 925 East Desert Inn Road. Leonard Shoen, co-founder of U-Haul truck rental, purchased the property of what had been the Chaparral Hotel & Casino in 1996, renovating it into the World Trade Center Hotel. A gaming license was applied for, but when it was discovered that two of Shoen's closest partners were convicted felons, the application was denied in 1998. He withdrew his application, and died in a car crash in 1999 that was ruled a suicide. Cards and gaming chips were produced for the World Trade Center Casino, but were never used.[56] The property has since been demolished and is now a parking lot, part of the Las Vegas Convention Center Annex."

...It's nice to hear a story with the feel good factor.

No foils like that from Gear. Maybe I can re-use the labels form the roulette chips though they would still stay Roulette.
