I could put wax paper / parchment paper between each chip to prevent colour transfer. I was thinking of using @Colquhoun 's hot blanket method here. Has anyone tried that with coloured chips?

I'm up in Canada so I'm having a hard time sourcing ceramic blanks locally.

The warping is tension in the material. Unless you're able to warm them up in a tight circular mold and press them slowely and cool them. I would not try it other ways. You end up squashing the outsides or damaging the mold.
