Would this tilt you? - Denom progression going weighted to unweighted (1 Viewer)

Hey, I've got one for you all: What about mixing new, uncirculated chips with used chips?

I'm having a super hard time mixing my Sec CLE $25's with the used 1's and 5's. I may end up trying to trade the secondaries for some primaries because it just feels weird mixing them.

Out of everything mentioned in this thread that is one of the things that probably bothers me the most. I'll still play. Just not preferred

....and deep down, you will know it's wrong too.

Hi. Phyllis Stein here:

Some of us don't mind going far beyond different molds when it seems appropriate.

E.g., I would rather use Chipco Vineyard fracs with my Paulson Vineyards than try to hunt down -- and pay through the nose or other bodily orifice for -- hot-stamped Paulson Vineyard fracs, which I don't like anyway.

"Deep down," the Chipco fracs look a hell of a lot better. (If hating hot-stamps is wrong, I don't wanna be right.)

There are also some plastic Bud Jones suits casino fracs that are a perfectly good option with more expensive lines of BJ chips.

Basically, if it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it. They're poker chips, not religious artifacts.

This is a key point of any chip discussion - anything is still playable, as long as the game is good. There are different levels of success, and while I do have some less than desirable sets (mixed sets) I am not 100% opposed to bringing them out.

That said, if 2 different games were playing with the same tables, cards, chairs, room size, amenities, and people on 2 different nights, but I could only make it to one of those games - I'm picking the game with the better chips.
