The historical and monumental sets that pop up now and then is AWESOME! Too bad I missed this auction but I love this hobby.

What the heck, I just saw this thread. Holy crap that set went fast. I took pictures a while back, mulled over listing it for a month, and then finally pulled the trigger. I put it up on eBay, went out for some groceries, then when I came back it was sold!

A few of you know that I have this set. I might have offered them in a weak moment when I was strapped for cash on a pending purchase. I can say that I do regret letting this set go, but as I'm acquiring more cool stuff I had to raise funds. It's just how it goes. I may be an addict but I'm not made of money.

Tons of history on this set. This is also the only set I know of that has that much $500s and $1000s (those 2 chips are always scarce for this set). The amount of $500s made it very playable.

Nice set, sleepy/larry/tommy. Almost pulled the trigger on these myself, but I need to keep paring back, not adding on again. But these were definitely a sweet temptation. Glad to see they went to good homes.

Bloody Marvellous had one set of 560 listed in the CT "Biggest Sets" wiki, so I'm guessing he's one of the two sets you mentioned in your ad. Is the other a CT/PCFer, or someone else you can reveal? Thanks...

I believe BM's set was from dolomite.

The other set owner is Silks from CT.

They arrived last night, in fine shape thanks to sleepypiggly/ledavatar's excellent packing.

The mailman kindly brought them to the door, instead of leaving them at our block's cluster box. Unfortunately, it was my wife who answered the door, and then lugged the 1200 chip box to me, out on the lanai.

My life was spared with just a dirty look, and that one word: "Chips." (Which, believe it or not, is not nearly so bad as the word "Wine.")
